Well, Jerry, if supporting these community resources are such a burden perhaps you should consider moving to a county that offers less of a financial imposition. You may want to delay your search until after November in case the candidate who has promised to cut such "waste" gets elected.
Now you're being silly. No where has Rich said he was going to cut county services.

Then should we expect ACOG and the other band of Misfits to complain about the library once Rich is elected?

If I recall correctly, they've only been complaining about the wasteful spending on revamping and building these buildings and the inappropriate bidding processes or lack of bids.

I don't read anywhere that they want them shut down.

How silly of me, what ever was I thinking...

line-by-line departmental reviews, maximizing efficiency and savings opportunities.

provide justification for every program

continued delivery of essential services

funding unnecessary programs

Ensure annual, line-by-line departmental reviews of the budget that focus on maximizing efficiency and savings opportunities.

Institute a zero-based budgeting system that requires department heads to provide justification for every program, every year.

Implement long-term financial planning, for the county to ensure long-term economic stability and the continued delivery of essential services for residents.

Focus on priorities instead of funding unnecessary programs that drive up costs and taxes for homeowners.

Big difference in finding waste and shutting down the library.

The point is that Waste is in the eye of the beholder.

All of these phrases are open to interpretation, but one has to wonder how they will be interpreted by a candidate elected who has promised to justify every program so that only essential services are provided. Who can say what mandate such a candidate might precieve from being elected.

Thanks for clarifying.

Imagining saving tax payer money by being a good steward of the county. Imagine reducing taxes by being a good steward of the county.

Why he ck, this just might set a trend, especially since most folks income has been reduced on average 10% over the last 8 years of Lamar being in office while he has increase taxes 7% a year for the last 8 years.

Sounds to me just exactly what union county government needs.

Now if youse could have come ups with this, we's might have elected youse commish.........

on seconds thoughts,,,,,,,,naw..........

If "youse" and ACOG and Reb Blairsville had stayed this line instead of making personal attacks on Commissioner Paris, "youse" might have actually had a chance at defeating him. Too bad "youse" guys have shot yourselves in the proverbial foot...

Rode by Charles Rich's election headquarters yesterday and saw a lot of Allison signs there. That is a bad move on Rich's part. Most people are fed up with Allison and his buddy the speaker. To much money thrown their way. I don't feel Allison should be sent back to Atlanta to work against us. The TSPLOST was a bad bill.

I have never said anything against Lamar that wasn't the truth. He is a crook and should the occassion arise I will have no problem proving that. He is corrupt and his own record proves that by what has been gotten from open records request. Now he may or may not be beaten in Nov. but he will be ousted. Enough proof has been gathered to insure that.
