we love the part timers. We can justify the 'customer charge' to not only them, but ALL customers. And then we throw in a minimum KW purchase fee.

Selling electricity that we don't have to deliver is very profitable, lol.

Since we've already got a new building, new trucks, pay raises, etc.. We would like your input as to how to spend all this income.

In the past seven years four of my friends moved up simply because they fell in love with Blairsville. They are full timers now. I will be soon if I don't kick the bucket first.
I heard tax rolls are nearly 50 percent part timers.????
My wife's new knees will be there soon.
Sorry to say but 50% is way out of kilter. We might have 50% of newcomers to native by now but more stay than just visit. Many of them make up the workforce. if you don't think so go to Walmart are Home Depot ask ask any of them working where they came from.

But those of us who work here have to pay for walking trails, pole barns, and castles for you 50%. We pay for it and get little to nothing in return.

It would appear you are more concerned with assaults upon Pen Names (i.e., individuals) than you are directly addressing the subject matter or content of postings.

In as much, as I have on occasion after occasion readily disclosed my use of Pen Names subject/substance specific, it appears redundant to consistently disclose to this site, and remind you, that I accept the concept of the validity of the concept commonly accepted in academia that Pen Names are indeed used with specificity relating to varying themes/issues.

Your primary focus, that is, obsession upon the individualís ID and subsequent personal condemnations rather than civil rebuttal related to issue, isnít simply disconcerting as it reflects upon you, it serves as well to diminish the possibility of any creditable legitimate points you may wish to offer.

I suspect many seeking purposeful information from this site simply just donít care that much about the author(s), but actually have the intellect to fully assimilate information for themselves. After all isnít that what such sites as this should be about; the exchange of ideas, and our efforts to serve a useful purpose in advancing ours.

when I don't have company to play golf with I go and wait to be asked to join someone else. Nine out of ten times they are locals who have live in Blairsville most of their lives.same with the horse people at the arena, yes they might be able to afford the game of golf and own a few horse, but they are locals not move ins.

Now you're calling them Pen Names, last time you rationalized the use of sock puppets you called them personas, and explained that they allowed you to be uncivil in your responses when the need arose so as not to tarnish the "good name" of your alternate personality, ooops, that should be alternate persona, oh wait, now they're pen names.

And if what you say is what you believe,

"I suspect many seeking purposeful information from this site simply just donít care that much about the author(s),"

why do you care what my profession is or might be.

Besides, if you're true concern were the legitimacy of the information that I offered, why the question as to my profession. There's no way I could prove that the information came from the local MLS, the only way to substantiate the information I provided would be to go to the courthouse and perform independent research.

But instead of questioning the information you decided that a backhanded personal attack was in order, which I returned as a big wad of mockery. Now you're all fluff and ruffled feathers, how predictable.

That is your fault. Working doesn't prevent people from enjoying life. We all worked and now we are retired or own a small business. Not a good excuse.

You can almost be guaranteed that one of Lamars cronnies.
Are their any ordinance changes made so that our DARE, MADD, and substance abuse rehab programs can receive part of the profits of making and selling government approved alcohol in Union County? Do any of the profits go to the local churches temperance prayer groups, or drug task force/DUI programs at our Sherrif's dept? Can elementary school students on field trips to our still, take a little sip?

Will profits realized be used to raid stills in our county, other than the one our county runs itself? Kind of a no-compete, monopoly thing, I guess.

Knowing Lamar has a politician's way with words, I wonder if it is true what he's implying -- that Georgia state law makes it mandatory that a county allow a distillery? "Comply with state law to allow for ..." sure makes it sound like the county has no say-so.

ACOG - you live in such a negative world, I feel sympathy for you rather than hate. Everything has to have an angle and there has to be conspiracy and corruptness in everything. It isn't like that in most people's lives. Trust me, it isn't.
The people moving here have money. Lots of money. Most are retired and planned well for their future. Added taxes and little bumps in the road do not affect them as it is part of life. People would rather enjoy their fabulous home that fits their lifestyle, add a big garage for the boat, a shelter for their RV, and all the lovely things people do with their property.
You just don't seem to know the right people, do you? Sad for you.
