. No he didn't, I've had my grandkid fall off and you never get used to it. They dust themselves off and get back on. These kids are dedicated. Katelin moves up a age group after this show. Us parents and grandparents can't show any fears.

Yes, we are here for the four month season. I will be broke when this is done.
Three events today, two first place and one third.
You're supposed to be broke.

God created kids and ex-wives to keep us broke.

Otherwise we'd stop working and get old and cranky.

Good luck to the kids.

Forgot to add, when I was in law enforcement we used to have to investigate Columbian drug money being laundered (allegedly) through horses called Paso Fino horses in Central Florida.

I interviewed a guy in custody facing over 30 years Fed time, who was "cooperating" under Rule 35, and whenI asked him why he never quit the business after he already had made millions, with a straight face he said:

"It was my kids and their damn horses - who know horses could cost so damn much money !"

Just shows - no matter how different we are - we are all the same.

Anyway, good luck with the kids and the horses. You'll need it.

You just have to adjust to what seems to fit the current budget.

For instance, my daughter is competing today in Blue Ridge. She is competing in the draft horse/plowing division. Her first run was 6 rows plowed in 4.5 minutes. My daughter is strong and has arms the size of baseball bats.

Right now, I'm standing next to Arlen Scruggs whose daughter is also competing. Arlen plays banjo out at Deckers some weekends. Oh and over there is Bobby Joe Smathers. Wow! He sings and yodels at Meeks Pard during the Sorghum Fesitval.

The biggest expense is the gas for getting these big animals to the competition. I can't afford a trailer so they have to stand up in the back of the truck which is really an old school bus with the seats remeoved.

OK. I'm just kidding you and pokin a little good natured fun at Bears Way. I know he is very proud of his granddaughter and has every right to be.

Thanks for the update,

An injury like that can be a frightening experience.

You are a good Grandpa. You are giving your grandaughter memories that will last for the rest of her life.

Seems like I am in for a long recovery period, or I should say Landius. Six weeks of treatment and then three weeks of rest. My Grand Daughter makes cupcakes for part
Time allowance, just offered me two hundre dollars towards Landius expenses . Imagine a thirteen year girl doing this. I took it and told her I would consider it a loan. She is very proud she can help. Landius was chewing on her hair while she offered.

I am still choked up. Need to come back to Blairsville
