OK, Chainsaw Five, since you mentioned it, do you have enough food and fuel for this cold snap? It's going to be quite cold the next few weeks they say.

Speaking of old folks, some of you who went to Union County schools might remember a social studies teacher, 5th grade I think, by the name of Royna Mae Cobb. Mrs. Cobb passed away yesterday. Visitation is tonight at Mountain View funeral home and funeral is tomorrow.

Mrs Cobb was a wonderful lady. I only knew her the last 9 years and she was always a nice person and a BIG braves fan.

Chainsaw Five, Is there anything I can do for you? These cold winter blasts are serious and if I can I would help you please message me. I would never make light of a bad situation.

Chainsaw is hooked up fine. He's a good man who worries about others.
Wouldn't it be nice if some of the misfits spent their time helping others instead of bitching and looking for evidence to continue to give our community a black eye?

Stop by houses where you've seen elderly people and check on them. Lots of these old folks don't have anyone. Even if they seem cranky, they'll be grateful someone cares.

Old man lives alone. I haven't seen him or lights on as much as I use to. I stopped by, knocked on the door, and gave him some cookies my wife made. The old guy wasn't feeling good and wasn't able to drive to the store. I insisted he give me a list of what he needed. Top of the list was toilet paper! Then he wrote down some food items he'd like. He tried to give me some money and I told him I'd collect when I got back. Called wife. She went to the house and made him turn over his laundry and cleaned up a little for him. I got the groceries and unpacked for him. The old guy is grouchy but, dang, he loved the hug my wife gave him. That's the Christian way.
