Frank Pack, I believe, has what it takes to preserve what's left of our Southern heritage, and understands why folks first flocked to Blairsville.

Unfortunately, our little piece of heaven has in the recent past witnessed an advanced infiltration of selfishness, greed, and just plain disingenuous poor judgment, which some view as corruption at its most basic origin, or organized crime in its most egregious form, and rising to a level heretofore unacceptable from those we trusted to serve us.

With the recent election of a New Sheriff, we have begun to restore a level of trust striving to once again reestablish a basic degree of confidence in our local government.

Anyone who knows Frank knows him to be the type man who isn't afraid to make a stand for those things he believes to be right, and in the best interest of our community.

Now is the time to begin to finish what we started in 2012.

Letís continue to support New and Responsive Leadership.

Support our Heritage, our Mountain way of life, our values and all those Southern amenities that first drew the attention of those who realized what a heaven we lived in, and made them want to visit us in the first place.

Give Frank Pack the opportunity to make us that desirable little town again.

Support him, encourage him, help him to run for and be elected the next Mayor of Blairsville.

Another good sales pitch for the new administration in the sheriffs department......free advertising via topix...let's see how long it takes them to delete this post as they have others. If anyone thinks for one second "the new and responsive leadership" is planning on creating a Mayberry...you do need to remove the aluminum foil from your hats. Personal agendas, same game, new players.....all evident in due time....some say?

If you don't believe what is said on Topix then why should you believe what some say out on the street? Just as much street gossip!

Anyone read the paper yesterday? Notice I said paper and not newspaper. The article about the street scape. The mayor let us finally know what it is for. Traffic control. I understand they have from 8 to 10 police officers to control the motorist in a 1/2 mile radius but they need a pile of bricks to slow traffic down around the square. I came up with a very good idea I think. See what you think. We can give the mayor a little red flag and let him stand at the square and stop traffic and slow it down. Now that has a two fold purpose. It gets him off his fat a$$ and out doing something for the money he is paid and tourist who drive around the square will get a good laugh. Isn't making our tourist happy and feeling good our number one priority anyway?

As you just read that story, it's very obvious that you live out of town - that's old news from last week and we who actually live here have already received this week's newspaper. So I would ask you how you know what the mayor does or doesn't do? Are you clairvoyant or do you just believe everything that nuts post of Topix? It's obvious you are quite well removed.
I may have to move to town if you people get the NGN a week ahead of the people in the county. Do you pay extra for that. I believe some of what I read on topix except for what nuts such as yourself post. I guess we all look over those. I wonder why thewy put this weeks date on the paper I read and gave it to you last week. Well with the NGN who knows. Have a good day now. By the way you don't have to live close to a turd to know it stinks. Since you live in town you can have the pleasure of voting for him. I think you will be throwing it away though.

I have been in the mayors office on many occasions
and "Just a Thought is correct"

The mayor is sitting on his a$$ in the chair in the corner usually reading none other than the north Georgia paper. I know there is so many interesting facts in that paper. Maybe he was hoping to see his picture instead of Lamars.

Different people have different reasons for visiting this or any other site of this sort.

Some for information, insight, issue debate, news, or just to express opinion.

Some for play, entrainment, or obstinacy. Some are well-meaning, other are malevolent.

Some educated, others not.

The point is those of us who believe in standing for our God, Nation, or Family address those issues we see as important in promoting and defending them.

Now, I have no way of knowing what category you fall into, or why you see fit to visit Topix.

Maybe, your attention span is just too short to stay focused upon anything in excess of a sentence.

Maybe, you have problems of comprehension, or may not have the capacity to respond to multiple thoughts, or simply bore easily.

It would really be a shot in the dark for me to attempt to guess what your problem may be.

Nevertheless it is of no consequence. For itís up to you, you may very easily just ignore me and skip right over my postings.

You see that is what the freedoms we still have is all about, I have the right to say and write what I think or believe, and in like kind you have just as much right to ignore me.

So please exercise your right.

No, your posts are too long. You have no agenda for anything but rambling. There are other posters who do have a great deal to say in much smaller space. Your ego may be large but your words are pathetic, you will never make it in any decision based area in life.

I'm betting the mayor doesn't live in Ohio and gets his paper a week late like you and your twin.
The mayor may be l;ike you and can't read. He certainly can't comprehend. With the NGN it doesn't matter when you read it. It is never old news since it is no news.

Anyone notice the ad in today's paper from a fellow running for Mayor. Don't know who he is but he certainly makes a lot of sense.

Well at least he is getting a early start. Needs to let everyone know a little about himself. Course everyone who has been here more than ten years knows about the fools we have for mayor and council now. It is a real crying shame that people in the county can't vote in the city election.

A widower raising a young son and doing a great job. Going to Young Harris college on the GI bill. Genuinely cares about his community and only wants to improve it for ever one and not just for a few. If I could vote in the city election I would be one of the first at the polls to vote for him. It is time for a responsible person to be elected to an office in the city. Look at the dunk you have now. A sobered up drunk which never did anything in life and three retired people on the council who have nothing to do all day but sit around and come up with off the wall ordinances and meddle in everyone's business.

I know Frank to be a good man, one having the best interests of our community at heart.

Look at the poll at the start of this thread, as unreliable as it may be, the "other" candidate garners more votes than may vote for any candidate in the town. We know the voting population in town is small, and a diligent effort would be significant.

With a little organization, some fund raising, and just a little planning Frank Pack could without a doubt be the next Mayor of Blairsville.

Think about it... and all of us who are talking of supporting him need to join together NOW to help him, and plan our course of action.
Better get him to pay back taxes to the state first.

You must be the mayor or a councilman. Who else would make such a stupid remark.

Saw an article in the paper this week about the new street scape. I believe the street scape const. shows just what a group of people we have in control of our community. They work on it one day and take 2 weeks off. At the rate it is going it will take at least 2 years to complete. What I don't understand is why they tore everything up if they were not going to fix it back immed.

They are waiting for something big to hit Blairsville, like the Governor coming to come then they will hurry up and get it done when they have to pay out overtime.

Looks like the guy running for mayor has the right idea. Get rid of the DDA and put the city back in the hands of the people.
