Please consider your own words and see if you don't agree they prove my point.
You say -
your fine with a prostitute leading prayer as long - she's a Christian.
Seems the important thing to you is that she's a Christian. That's the whole point - Christians have no legal assumption of "correctness".
If you allow your Baptist prayers in school, you have to accept my prostitute pastor's prayers even if she's a Satanist.
Or you attack the Constitution.
"Keep your atheist beliefs out of school"
By definition, atheists, have no religious beliefs; therefore, atheists cannot impose their "religious" beliefs.
As to religion playing a role in science - of course it does not.
Science is based on hypothesis, testing, experiment, and proof. There is no role for "faith".
Scientist may be religious, spiritual, agnostic, or atheist - but science cannot not be anything but agnostic.
As to being an "atheist" myself:
How nice of you to impose your criteria as to what constitutes "Christianity" or "religion" onto me, and not surprisingly, find me "wanting".
Substantial experience and education has led to to believe in God, tend to believe Zen Buddhist have the best philosophy,
and immediately secure my wallet,(and my daughters), whenever someone attempts to wrap themselves in the American or "Christian" Flags.
Please consider if the problems created when intermixing government and religion aren't exactly why the Constitution was written to forbid it.
informed, you just can't stand the fact that I'm right.
I said keep your atheist views at home to prove a point. Christians don't have to leave there believes at home neither does anyone else. And I'm Not baptist. It is fine to let a satanist priestess lead a prayer, if the majority of the class is satanist
perhaps she should wear red and not black. However I'm much more for Christian prayers, they both should be allowed!
I think you would just agrue with any thing I say even if it's more democratic then you, just because you assume I'm a christian (which I am) and that I'am a republican. The constitution Never said to ban religion!!
I'm not imposeing Nothing on you, your trying to oppress peoples rights!

He's the same God that both sides claim the support of as they march off to kill each other.
He's the same God that Southern Churches invoked to justify slavery and later segragation.
He's the same God the Germans prayed to as they killed jews, and poles, and gays, and gypsies, and the mentally inferior.
He's the same God that kills the old, the young, the husband, the wife, the child, and allows diease, and birth defects, and still birth, and miscarriage.
He's the same God that we all worship, except that some of us are under the mistaken impression that only they know who He is, and only they know what He thinks, and only they know who His truw followers are.
God did Not cause all these things people did, therefore people have to fix them. Now if God came down and forced everyone to be good, you would complaning that God took your free will away.

Scorn has broken my heart
and has left me helpless;
I looked for sympathy, but there was none,
for comforters, but I found none.
They put gall in my food
and gave me vinegar for my thirst.

May the table set before them become a snare;
may it become retribution and a trap.
May their eyes be darkened so they cannot see,
and their backs be bent forever.
Pour out your wrath on them;
let your fierce anger overtake them.
May their place be deserted;
let there be no one to dwell in their tents.
For they persecute those you wound
and talk about the pain of those you hurt.
Charge them with crime upon crime;
do not let them share in your salvation.
May they be blotted out of the book of life
and not be listed with the righteous.

I guess you were one of those that bought into the myth of bush's wmd myth. Every one has the right to believe in what ever religion they believe in. They have the right to pray!! That's the point I'm trying to state.
Is anyone prohibiting you from praying?

What laws prohibit you from praying?

Amos -

Jesus, not us, demands you be a liberal socialist.

Read the New Testament.

If that free public socialist education we have you worked that should be "doable";

If the liberal Socialist Security check arrives on time, use the money to get English as a Second Language lessons,

If you need medication to calm that fevered brow, use that liberal socialist Medicare to pay the doctor and provide the Xanax.

We'll pray for you brother - to that liberal socialist commie Jesus.

Can you show that children are prohibited from silent prayer during the school day, or from verbal prayer during non-instructional time?

In other words, I fail to see where individual prayer has been banned from the schools.

Perhaps your beef is that state sponsored prayer has been banned, this is an entirely different situation than the one you are raising.

The sentence tells the story:

"It's fine to let a satanist lead....... if the majority of the class is satanist ."

That sentence reveals a complete disregard for the Constitution and the Bill of Rights and renders the Constitution meaningless.
If the belief expressed in that sentence prevails, all who have fought an died to protect the Constitution, did so in vain.

To say that a group's Constitutional Rights only exist if that group constitutes the majority, renders the entire concept of Constitutional Rights moot.

The Constitution exists to protect the minority,(especially a minority of one person), from tyranny of the majority.

To condition a person's rights on whether the majority shared his beliefs or opinions, results in the inevitable conclusion that we have wasted over 200 years pretending the Constitution exists to protect our individual right to differ from the majority.

Please consider this.

A fellow here at breakfast just asked me to add:

When his Dad went to buy a Ford many years ago, the dealer told him he was free to choose any color for his new car he wanted - as long as he chose black.

By your way o thinking, you can have prayers in school to any God or using an religion you want - as long as the others agree.

Isn't it obvious that isn't an individual choice at all. It's a designation made by the group, not the individual.

Ah, well - back to breakfast.
