We filled up our SUV at the Chevron Station at Trackrock (on Hwy 76) Thursday a.m.----our car was running fine until we filled the car up. Shortly after we filled the car up we developed car trouble. Is a coincidence or did we get bad gas???? Has anyone else experienced this recently?

Did you get the gas cap back on tight? If not it can cause a vehicle to run rough and the check engine light to come on.

We buy gas there all the time, never have had a problem.

I got bad gas there a few months ago; I think it was the 45cent burritos.

If there's water in a stations gas tank, it will sink to the bottom, and should not exceed a certain level in inches, or else it gets pumped into customer cars. It should be monitored by the station by placing an indicator paste on a dip stick, and dropping it into the big tanks.

Let them know what happened, so they can double check.

Thank you.

Our car is STILL in the shop----just received a call from mechanic---the whole computer board has to be relaced.

We don't know what the cause is-BUT--the car was running just fine until we filled up with the gas from that station!

I seriously doubt that bad fuel would cause a computer to go out. I've been in the business for a lot of years and have only had one instance where a computer actually went bad.
