From what was posted on another topic, nonprofit hospitals and churches that are 501(3)(c) corporations are included in the following I guess.
Nonprofits are required to submit their financial statements and other information -- including the salaries of directors, officers, and key employees -- to the IRS. The IRS and nonprofits themselves are required to disclose the information on Form 990 to anyone who asks. Nonprofits must allow public inspection of these records during regular business hours at their principal offices.
In addition, people can request information from the IRS by writing a letter, including the name of the organization, the year, and the type of tax return requested, and send it to:

This "UGH" employee that you speak of as being the CFO of AHHC is only the CFO by title. He does not, nor is he expected to, or legally bound to spend his holidays, weekends, nights or any other off time from the hospital at AHHC. AHHC IS STILL OWNED & RAN by the Gowder Family.
The way it was set up, in the beginning, was for 5 out of the 7 Gowder kids to all have a small share of the business, with Dr. George & Mrs. Martha Gowder owning 51% of the business, therefore giving Dr. & Mrs. Gowder the final say in any & all business decisions. Dr. George never actually worked at AHHC, but he was the CFO, just like the UGH employee that you speak of. Mrs. Martha Gowder, however, worked at AHHC almost every day, until her death, in 2006.
What has happened now, is that Dr. George is old & sick, & just does not need the stress of being the CFO any longer, stress only from having to be the deciding vote on important issues, because that is really the only thing that he, or the new CFO, are involved in at AHHC. But, that being said, it was still unneeded stress for Dr. George Gowder.
So, the new CFO, who, by the way, has owned part of AHHC since its opening, decided to help out the family, & he bought out Dr. George Gowder's shares in the company.
He is now the CFO of AHHC, as well as an employee of UGH, which however, legally, is not a conflict of interest. When someone is discharged from any hospital in GA, & they receive orders from their doctor to obtain home health care, legally, the hospital has to give them the names of all home health agencies that serve the area on which that patient lives. Of is then up to the patient, their family, etc, to choose which agency they are most comfortable using.
It's not like UGH is pushing patients to choose AHHC, or even suggesting to patients that they should make that choice.
So, there is absolutely no conflict of interest here. I honestly believe that no matter who was in a high command, in any business in this county, you all would find fault with them, & the only reason you say the things you do about the Gowders, is because they have been a very well respected & influential family in this county for a very long time, & for whatever reason, envy, jealousy, who knows, you feel entitled to speak of that family, & their business, like you actually have any clue what the truth really is.
