I heard the new superintendent was wanting to build a jail on school campus with Esplost money. He got his own little police department , because he cannot work with the local sheriff's office. Now he's wanting to build a jail? Spend spend spend! I was afraid he would not know how to govern a school system. The inexperience is starting to show . What next? Our school taxes will go up and what will he blame it on then. Please let your opinions be now

And was this project for the current ESPLOST presented to the public in open meeting and published, as required by law, one wonders??

Well why don't you investigate, Barney Fife? After all, the entire county government and school board are filled with crooks committing all kinds of crimes. Even a moron like you could make a name for himself by arresting all of them!

Be careful though, everybody's in on it... you may need to run over to Mount Pilot and get their sheriff to help you out. Unless.... they.... they already got to him.... good luck and God speed, brave deputy!

These government school "educated" children don't learn anything anyway, and will be mooching off the system eventually and ending up in jail. I don't see anything wrong with a few jail cells on campus.

Yes, every public school student has been or will be on welfare and / or in prison. Idiot.

Damn, you people seem hellbent on trying to "out stupid" each other.

Keep going, though, it's funny.

This school admin, board and super are all a joke. Why are admin from neighboring countries being brought in , paid big under the table money? Because our system don't know what they are doing. Such a shame. Thanks to the GOOD OLE BOYS.

Lol, "big money under the table"? No doubt literally bags of cash from ESPLOST funds they stole, right? Not to fear, though, Deputy Fife a/k/a OathKeeper is on the case! Stay tuned!

OK.

Here's a few things that "Campus Police" would need-- Duty Gear, Baton, Cuffs, Belt, Vest, Etc all the gear police would need. Cars/Transportation. Facility for Gear Storage. Facility for Holding. Facility for general office(s).

99% of this, could be covered by the SCHOOL it's self... have a very small building with a metal open garage to park cars under, a room with audio/video "holding" room, and just a office for super/officer reports.

Im pretty sure the school could just accommodate that inside a existing facility. There is really no reason for a massive "jail" inside the school grounds, sense there is not ONLY a JAIL-- but a STATE DETENTION FACILITY aswell next door!

Honestly, if there is a reason they need it, justify it. Justify it or don't ask is my motto.

I've been to several of the ball games after school and have yet to see any of these so-called school police officers there. I guess they keep the school schedule from 8 to 3. Big money wasted on police officers when things could happen after school hours. And the officers are at home

Well get your lionhead out of your a$$. I was at Friday’s football game and saw 4 school police patrolling the grounds and one by the admission gate.
