Are you fairly comparing this new administration's performance to the previous administration's performance their first month and a half in office?
I think not......

Fair comparisons? You’re correct you won’t find that here.

Yep, nothing but sour grapes from “those” folks.

Nothing has changed. Nothing will change.
Same old book with a different cover and name, that's all. People think it was wonderful that Mason gives speeches. He was invited and loves the attention, afterall, it is his party that he speaks to. Tea Party and GOP. A comment was posted about all the gray hair in Copperhead Lodge's pictures of Mason's speech. I agree. What have they accomplished. Nothing and they won't. Mason is an old retired fool, himself.

Still no answers to the following questions:

Why are deputies, investigators, and other employees who live OUTSIDE Union County, driving take-home cars to their "out of county" homes...? Wasn't this one of our new sheriff's campaign stances...that this "would not happen under his administration?"

Why are deputies receiving outlandish salaries, some from 18 to 26 dollars an hour, when the average UC resident makes significantly less than these figures? And these wages are paid not to upper-management staffers (those are even higher wages), but to line officers and school officers...and some detectives...? Also, what levels of higher education, advanced training, and management experience do these highly paid employees bring to the table? How does this policy of paying much higher rates for deputies than all surrounding counties fall into "managing the budget wisely", which was another campaign stance?

Or, is this simply "politics" as usual for our great sheriff's office....?

We wanted someone out, and we voted for the only person who ran, and now we have really bit the big one. And no, this is not a "former employee", only an extremely disappointed citizen and voter. Well, we can all be sure that NOT only this one, but anyone associated with his leadership staff, will NOT get elected next time around. It is finally time for real leadership and real integrity to come to the aid of the people of this county. But, it will be four long years in coming.

Yep, we know you can read ... its understanding, and using appropriate language, you seem to have problems with. But I regress, everyone knows that by now.

I’m not sure what you’re thinkin, and it doesn’t matter, your comments reflect a warped sense of cronyism or maybe a misguided attempt of loyalty to the former Sheriff.

For you to attempt to pick at scabs, and keep them festering, in truth couldn’t be beneficial to the former Sheriff, nor, I feel certain, his family.

Although, I do not know the former Sheriff personally, nevertheless, I know he has a loving family, which you should be pleased to know is accepting changes admirably, moving forward graciously, and turning a back to unpleasantries of the past political commotion, and enjoying a new future.

Maybe, it’s time for others to do the same. While criticizing the activities of an adversary each day or week, sometime it better for the critic to ask... what do I do each day or week to contribute something positive or of value to my community or fellow man?

Yep, it’s interesting how the performance of a newly elected Law Enforcement Administration can result in such “expert analyses” inside a two (2) month time frame going into the Office.

However, I have to find those criticisms rather suspect, disingenuous, and lacking in credibility.

In light of the fact that not one of these “expert critics” had a word to say during the past years as our Sheriff’s Department sped more and more out of control.

Where were you over the past twelve (12) years?

There was nothing wrong with the past administration.
At lest citizens knew who the hell the officers were.
I have yet to see any of the officers around the area where I live. No one patrols this area the way they did when Scott was sheriff.

I don't care if it's been 2 weeks, 2 months, or 2 years, Mason will disappoint. He's in it for his ego, nothing more. He missed being in control. Now he is.

BTW, there is nothing that is guessing about the salaries, people taking patrol cars home, and the other things mentioned. A lot of the new deputies are being paid according to what they earned in another state!!!

Keep the blinders on gray haired old idiots. You deserve this.

Yep, we worked diligently for a more responsible, professional, and reliable Law Enforcement in electing a new Sheriff for our community and you are right, we do indeed deserve it. For you see we around long enough to reconize the many things wrong with the previous administration.

However, not like you we are willing to give the new administration a reasonable opportunity, and a chance.

Yes the jury is still out, but Sheriff Mason deserves a rational time frame to convince us he is worthy of restoring the trust, confidence, and respect we voted for him to achieve in that agency.

As for you and others, whose pals apparently have had to move on, sure we see your bitterness, and misguided ill will toward the New Sheriff, just as we understand you are not acting in good faith, rather in acrimony to undermine the best interests of our community, as you disparage Sheriff Mason.

Tyhose must have been ordered by the previous sheriff. This one hasn't been in office long enough to start spending our money that way.

Mason is a putz.
He won by a small amount leaving a lot of people not happy, especially those of us who know the man. Most who know him personally had enough brains not to vote for Mason.
