Yep wrote: <quoted text> You need to keep up, if you are interested in what’s going on. Yep, that’s just the way it is. All this about the judge’s office has been covered already, to the point of revulsion. To occasionally obtain a factual bit of usable information from this site you must be willing to wade through ridiculous and sometimes rather disgusting trash for weeks and months on end. That’s just the way it is, in a town without any reliable news sources.(i.e. unbiased investigative newspaper, radio, or TV media reporting) Personally,(with regard to other postings) informational meetings offered having a Q & A following, in an environment such as we have here, should be a welcomed forum for anyone sincerely interested in the betterment of a community. It doesn’t matter who sponsors the forum. Go listen, learn, complain, ask questions, get answers, and then you may have something upon which to base a legitimate grievance. Otherwise, you are just another jerk trying to stir up trouble. Regarding the New Sheriff, in just over a month, He has obviously made many changes. Some following through with campaign promises, others in personnel, and not to be unexpected modifications to the administration and operations of the department. Other than irrational adversaries naturally politically attached to the former Sheriff, a reasonable person would realize, it will take a realistic time frame to assess the satisfaction or lack thereof with the performance of the New Sheriff. One thing is for certain, this is the second month of his administration, and he is offering and making himself available to the public for meeting, not once but twice within the same month, to speak and take questions and give answers. I could be mistaken, but during the twelve (12) year term of the former Sheriff, I don’t recall him making himself so available, even when beseeched to do so in the most controversial of circumstances. BS. Mason could have a Q&A without being a guest of the Tea Party. It is logical he would choose that group because they are his cheerleaders. Mason is a Republican and was supported by Republicans. I still think his choice of venue is wrong and he'll lack support as a result. Actually, he has lost support already by many because of what he has done in the past two months and the disregard for several of USCO's employees.

pigs at the trough wrote: <quoted text> So why did the guy get fired then? Maybe he wasn't doing his job? Maybe he picked the wrong side of the fight and went public trying to help influence the election. Maybe that backfired. Lots of people need to work and need the insurance. So to this "guy" and to you and to all the other pigs slopping at the public feed trough - get used to it. You are not OWED anything that any other citizen is. Only difference is too many public servants are spending more time serving themselves. I am sure Mack has a good reason for every person fired. If I recall - some not only asked for it - they said they'd quit. Maybe Mack is just helping them stay true to their words. Maybe you need to get more information before you spout off.

PS... my husband can't control me and I am a disgraceful loud mouth. It is even possible that I drink in the afternoon and go online and rant. I'm even thinking of posting my full name and address online here so that my family can be even more publicly humilated. That way when I call people cowards everyone will know it is me.

Is our new Sheriff actually drawing a disability pension from the state of Ga? The Chief Deputy who retired from fl has allegations that may or may not be factual but it seems like their was some excellent competent local talent. Fl state law and Ga law are different. Davie Fl is way different than Blairsville.

This comment is an example why Mason will speak at a Tea Party meeting rather than an open venue. I am a Republican and not a "demented dems" but I can see that Mason lacks the balls to meet with the public unless he is in his elemment -- with supporters. I did not support Mr. Mason. I know and like Scott a lot. I didn't agree with everything he did, but I would much prefer Scott over Mason. Scott has something Mason doesn't -- compassion for others. Margaret. Are you sure you haven't already started cocktail hour. YOu post didn't make much sense. What was your point?

Davie Fl is way different than Blairsville. Yes. Disability pension from GA. The sirens use to be placed on top of the patrol vehicles. Many troopers claim that they lost hearing because of those sirens. No joke. If you notice, the sirens are no longer on the top of the trooper's vehicles. A lot of troopers went out on disability because of hearing loss they found a doctor who would back up their claims. No. I'm not making this up or guessing. Some of the FL retired officers are drawing pensions while, yes, many qualified people in GA were passed up. The public who supports Mason should have asked some of these questions before voting for him. Furthermore, Lamar does NOT determine the salaries as statee above. Mr. Mason budgets for those salaries.

Does that include you coming on here and calling Mack Mason a Coward for having a meeting hosted by The Tea Party? You are talking big here online. But will you go directly to Mason and call him a coward to his face? In the world of men, if you spoke such someone takes a poke at you. But you are a woman just talking big online. So you will get outed, and your husband dragged into it with you. Does Arthur know you come online here calling people names?
