Was that the kind of sheriff who busted you and put you in jail? Inquiring minds want to know.

By the way, thanks for your input, we, the actual citizens of Union County, always want to know what former criminals like yourself have to say.

Hey excellent goals. Especially the goal of attacking Drug trafficing and usage. We are losing the next generation to drug usage.

Following is what Sheriff Arpaio is doing to work with and get communities involved with the safety of their community.

Movie Star Steven Seagal Joins Sheriff Joe Arpaio to Train Armed ‘Posse’ as School Guards.

http://www.theblaze.com/stories/2013/02/09/ac...

If you're not aware of Sheriff Joe Arpaio, check out this link:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joe_Arpaio

We have to get involved in supporting our Sheriff....he can't do it alone, nor should he have to.

If some of the whiney babies that constantly complain about our Sheriff would become part of the solution rather then part of the problem, this community would be a much better place in which to live.

Show your support for our Sheriff and/or complain to his face, this coming Tuesday 2/12 at 7pm at the Civic Center. Sheriff Mack Mason will be speaking with Q&A following. Everyone is welcome and feel free to tell and bring others.

Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
You don't have a pony in this race. You don't live in Union County and likely haven't stepped foot in Blairsville. Mason is a prick, pure and simple.
How's that for a bag of rocks, weirdo?

How can the Sheriff's Office hire someone that was fired from the Probate Office, I did not think if they were fired from one department, they could be hired by another. What is the county's policy on this.

Who was hired? Was it a woman who was fired for speaking out about corruption by Brackett? If so - sounds like she would be a good assett in a new and clean department. Sounds a bit like Mack himself... do the right thing, do it loudly, and do it without fear. Its so simple actually.... to be in the field of justice and law enforcement, you MUST be willing to do the right thing.

So if that was the hire, then well done.

If Mason wants to speak to all of the community maybe he ought to choose a more neutral arena than the GOP and the Tea Party. I would rather enter a pit of vipers that go to either place. So all he will hear is Yessirs and Amens from either group.

I totally agree. Buncha clueless pit vipers. Heck, they are as bad as them dang whiny brain dead liberals. Put them all in a room and let them kill each other off and I reckon Mother Nature will have done a valuable service by weeding all the retarted genes out of humanity. Then maybe some common sense independents that exercise wisdom and common sense can fix the mess created by the two psycho parties and all their zombie loser followers.

Don't have a problem with Mack addressing them though. Just as long as he goes after everyone equally and locks everyone up equally.

Would be a very good start. Drugs, white collar criminals and meddling beuracrats in Atlanta and Washington is pretty much the core of it.

well I hope they are all gone. About 2 years ago I had a deputy come to my house because I was trimming limbs off a tree with my shotgun. He and his bud acted like the Gestapo.

$ 40,000 plus to over $ 55,000 ....boy...we really ARE getting some primo employees....

Now, what kind of education does it required to make those figures in other areas of employment in the UC area? At UCSO...HS diploma or GED is all that is required...

And...the right connections...lol

Chinga, it is hard to agree with you about anything, but I do agree about Mason and this meeting. Mason will pick an arena where he is safe. You and I both hear the 411 about this man from the horses' mouths -- others are dreaming they have Tom Selleck as the new sheriff. Mason is a prick!

$19 an hour for investigators? Yep. Interesting is he is paying his employees at the state rate of salary rather than the county's.

What kind of education? Zip. Zero. Nada. None.

State pay schedule, not county, is the basis.

We do agree on this issue. Imagine being so evil you fire a guy who needs to work especially because he needs the insurance and then you try and appeal his unemployment. And do you know why? They didn't get along WAYY back when they were in school together.

So why did the guy get fired then? Maybe he wasn't doing his job? Maybe he picked the wrong side of the fight and went public trying to help influence the election. Maybe that backfired. Lots of people need to work and need the insurance. So to this "guy" and to you and to all the other pigs slopping at the public feed trough - get used to it. You are not OWED anything that any other citizen is. Only difference is too many public servants are spending more time serving themselves. I am sure Mack has a good reason for every person fired. If I recall - some not only asked for it - they said they'd quit. Maybe Mack is just helping them stay true to their words.
