I am not one of the "ex" employees you people keep referring to...

I simply want to know what term would be appropriate for a candidate who promises definite changes if he is elected, and then not only fails to follow through on that pre-election promise, but blatantly does the opposite...? What term do you use to describe those multiple false claims, promises, and acts?

Examples include not the campaign promise that he would not allow county patrol cars to be driven outside the county by deputies who live outside the county....another includes how he was going to save the taxpayers money...and yet pays very high wages to people who have questionable experience, no education above high school, and no instructors on staff.

Oh, and just how many phone calls, polygraphs, and background checks were done on any of these new employees...or were they simply hired because the old dude knew them or knew their families... funny...the same thing he campaigned against...he is contributing to....

And to think, I voted for him. Not again.

Change....yeah...change...we had such hope...

Call him and ask him how many county cars are going out of the county to the homes of out of the county deputies...and by the way, don't dare mention the questions concerning the new chief deputy...might get a visit in the middle of the night by some people who don't live around here...

For anyone who thinks the new one is some highly professional character who has all our best interests at heart...remember you voted for just another born and bred good old boy from the back woods...GSP can't change that, it only makes it worse...there are so many campaign promises to fulfill...

Too bad. Time to move away from this county. Things will never change.

We were fleeced.

Well, of course, everyone who voices an opinion against the TOPIX grain is an ex-employee or some other BS. I'm not an "ex" either but I know what Mason is and we were a hellva lot better off with Scott. Yep, Mason is just another one of the good ol' boys. The same book with a different cover.

Personally, I don't give a shit. 500 voters got what they wanted. Windows without tint. F'king funny, if you ask me. No, you didn't ask, but I'll keep reminding y'all over the next four years. Mason is a prick.

I like Scott. I voted for Scott, and will again if he runs again. But move away from B'ville just because of MM? Not hardly. He makes little or no difference in my life.

Did you look at the list of arrests in this week's paper. Now, the list looked long and impressive until your read it and realize the UCSO tagged a bunch of Boy Scouts for 1 oz. of weed. Come on! Nothing significant, just a bunch of BS.

The department can't even find the SOB who killed that poor old goat!

Stephens had 12 years, not 8. And you say he didnt show you jack, I have the arrest reports and the accomplishments the SO made, do you want me to post them? I will if you can state or produce the law services you say your sheriff has.

How about you post the actual conviction rate(or lack of) to put everything into perspective.

What about the sex offender who made front page....crossed how many state lines(California to GA)without registering within the states he lived in, including GA..not to mention all the states he traveled through to get here..failure to comply should have been charged for each state. That can carry a life sentence...yet he is now out only to spend 2 days in jail. He must be pulling somebodies strings!!!!(or something like that) yeap, can't catch the goat guy and different laws for different people. I don't see any difference now, than 6 months ago!!!

The arrests for 1 oz of weed. If their is a seed theirs a weed. many of these arrests have led to the drug network from other areas feeding into Unionn COunty. How many arrests will prevent breakins looking for goods to steal to support their habits. Look at entire scope. It was time for a change. Embrace our new Sheriff and be glad when a deputy arrives when needed, ready to serve

The deputy may not arrive because either he is tied up on a big drug bust like a joint or less or possibly out on the four lane writing a revenue producing ticket sort of like a tax collector for speeding big whoop.

Give me a break -- big drug busts? Look at the entire scope? What rock did you just crawl out from under? These kids are our hometown boys who smoke pot and most kids do nowadays - 1 oz is no lead into the big times! A lot of it is grown right here under your nose -- pot is a weed and will grow in a container on your kitchen sink, that's how easy it is to grow the stuff.

Those kids are from decent families and they hardly are a danger to our town.

I do find it a little funny that many parents who thought Scott's deputies dogged the kids are learning that Scott and the deputies gave kids a lot of room for being teenagers. Many voted for Mason hoping the heat would be off the kids. Looks like they got taken, TOO!
