As you have stated many times, those pesky facts are always there.

FY 1982 -$128 billion.
Great post.

Love them facts.

#1.$1.469 Trillion of the deficit blamed on Obama was the costs of Bush's three wars that Bush kept "off budget "

So add that must be added to Bush's deficit figures.

$773 Billion was the cost of Bush's TARP Bailout Bush - started by Bush and dumped on Obama.

So Bush gets credit for the Bush banking debacle he created, and the Bush TARP bailout.

$ 711 Billion was the costs for Stimulus Spending created by the Bush Recession which requires stimulus spending to save the economy from complete destruction.

So it's Obama's fault he had to save the country's economy from the greatest recession since the Great Depression ?

So to be honest. Add $3 Trillion to Bush's deficit since all the spending mentioned was required either to correct Bush's "off budget" deficits, complete the Bush TARP bailout, or for Stimulus Spending to save us from the Great Recession.

Or just pretend none of the above happened.

Anyway- Obama has already cut the deficit for 2013 by $500 Billion - you'd think everyone here would be praising him.

#2. Agree - Bush increased military spending by $600 Billion a year, but it nothing to do with any pretend War on Terror. It's impossible to wage physical war on a conceptual tactic, but the boogeyman was terrified of us.

# 3. Reagan tripled the national debt.

The national debt when Ronald Reagan took office was about $1 trillion.

That included in it all the debt run up for the Revolutionary war, the Spanish-American war, the Civil war, World War I, World War II, the Korean war, the Vietnam war and all the Social wars of the 1930's and subsequent years. In other words it took the United States from 1776 until 1980 or more than 200 years to accumulate a national debt of $1 trillion.

Ronald Reagan left us a national debt of about $3.5 trillion or $3,500 billion.

For Obama to equal Reagan's performance Obama would have to leave office with a national debt of at least $33 Trillion Dollars.

Unless Obama's national debt in 2016 is $33 Trillion - all "Conservatives" have to admit Obama is a better President than Reagan.

#4. The national debt when Bush the Son took office was approximately $5.6 Trillion.
When Bush left office it was $10.7 Trillion plus $1.4 Trillion "off budget", or $12.1 Trillion.

So Bush 2:
more than doubled the national debt,
left us the Great Recession,
left us 3 Wars to pay for,
and left us a $1.4 Trillion Dollar annual deficit,(after having inherited a budget surplus).

So unless Obama leaves office with a $22 Trillion national debt, leaves us with a Great Recession, and with 3 unfunded "off budget" wars, he must be a far better President than Bush.

Reagan cut taxes on the rich and tripled the national debt;

Bush cut taxes on the rich, turned a budget surplus into a 1.4 Trillion annual deficit, and doubled the debt;

Will someone please explain when we will learn cutting taxes on the rich causes deficits and increases the national debt

Will someone please explain with this proven track record of financial debacles, deficits, and doubling and tripling the national debt, why any Democrat wants to follow these disasters into office.

Every time we start to recover from the latest Republican created disaster, they get voted back in office to repeat their proven track record of Republican debacles.

Yes, you gotta love those pesky facts.

As Karl Rove said "Those facts have a liberal bias".

What humor ?

Every recent Republican President except Bush the Dad cut taxes on the rich, exploded deficit spending and doubled or tripled the national debt.

Those are just the facts.

Of course, since Obama has already cut Bush's annual deficits by $500 Billion a year, I'm sure he's your new hero.

Why would you support Bush's with his $1.4 Trillion deficits when Obama's are $500 Billion less ?

Your attention deficit disorder is in high form today.
Debt is debt, whether “on budget” or “off budget.”

The $1.469 trillion from Bush in the 2009 budget left to Obama includes the war money.

Obama has racked up $5.073 trillion all on his own; he owns it,
and you can’t make someone else eat it.

Total debt by Obama (one term)$5.073 trillion through fiscal 2013.
Total debt by Bush (two terms)$3.294 trillion through 2009.
Both debts include war monies.

Another - "How can Right Wingers be so wrong so often and still not be embarrassed moment."

Having used unrebutted facts to prove it's Right Wing Republicans who have doubled and tripled the national debt, and it's Right Wing Republicans who take budget surpluses and turn them into $1.4 Trillion Dollar annual deficits,

We now use facts to prove that Bush took four times more vacation time than Obama, thereby proving the Right Wing again completely, obviously, and extraordinarily wrong, or just lying.

As usual.

Let's check out the facts:

POTUS Tracker:
· George W. Bush spent 32 months at his ranch (490 days) or Camp David (487 days)— an average of four months away every year;

Compared to:

POTUS Tracker, compiled by The Washington Post, shows that from January 2009 to October 31, 2012, Obama spent all or part of 72 vacation days. He also visited Camp David 22 times, spending all of part of 54 days there.

72 + 22 = 94 days or 184 for 8 years.

Bush = 490 vacation days for two terms.
vs.
Obama = 184 vacation days for two terms.

Still want to compare Bush's 4 months a year vacation rate, to Obama's 23 days a year vacation rate ?

By the way, since under Bush's watch we lost 3,000 dead on 09/11, are you sure you want to claim Bush's 8 month a year work schedule was spent keeping America safe ?

Smart people would run away from both these issues since they demonstrate Right Wing Republicans apparently don't like to show up for work, and when they do, they fail miserably.

How can progressives and liberals be so math deficient.
It took Bush 8 years to get to a $3.2 trillion deficit. Bush left
a deficit of $1.469 trillion for Obama.

Took Obama 4 years to add $3.6 trillion to that deficit for a
total of $5.073 trillion.

It took Bush 8 years to create a deficit of $3.2 trillion. It has
Taken Obama only 4 years to get us in a deficit of $3.6 trillion.

Gotta hand it to those liberals and progressives; as long as they
are spending the money, deficits don’t matter.

The quoted dollars are the deficits for each president.
The actual public debt that each president has accumulated is as follows:

Bush II $6 trillion over 8 years.
Obama $5 trillion over 4 years.

Bush II inherited $5.8 trillion from Clinton.
Obama inherited $11.9 trillion from Bush.

Whoever follows Obama is projected to inherit $20 trillion.

We can agree to disagree agreeably.

No matter how hard anyone tries to play with the numbers the cold cruel facts are:

Right Wing "Conservative" Reagan tripled the debt;

Right Wing "Conservative" Bush doubled the debt;

Whats worse - Bush inherited a balanced budget from Clinton,
and
by cutting taxes on the rich,
Bush left Obama a $1.4 Trillion dollar annual deficit,
high unemployment,
low government revenues,
the Great Recession, and
three unfunded Wars.

Try as anyone might, it's impossible to say Right Wing Republicans are anything other than economic disasters whenever they're in power.

And you wonder why normal people take few things Right Wingers say seriously.

While proudly proclaiming your opinion as to posts on TOPIX, you also claim you don't even read the posts you are commenting on.

Is it possible that you can somehow grasp how irrelevant and nonsensical you have just admitted your posts are.

Hey, why not post your opinion on most recent by Simin Constable in Barron's about the positive impact of the increased requirements for transport of oil based products on shipping company stock.

You don't read Barron's either - so your comments will be just as helpful.

I see you have inherited the shell game from Obama and Reid, by holding peanuts in one hand, and trillions in the other hand.

You have the Pelosi malaise, we don’t know what’s in the bill but we’re going to vote for it anyway.

You speak as though deficits and budgets are one and the same, not so.

Budgets are an annual process, deficits are an ongoing process
As Budgets over Income gives rise to the ongoing deficits, the mountain of debt continues to increase and Obama has added more deficits than any President in history. He’s ruining the country and the blind government employees are soaking taxpayers for everything they can get.

Your facts keep shifting, from casual to extreme. And your parts are worn out.

Progressives and Liberals have only one goal; more taxes on everyone, more control of everyone, and more financial packages for government employees.
