Normaly have water bills each month with 2-3000 gallon usages.

This month bills for me, a relative, and others in area exceeded 10,000 gal.

No leakages found by anyone.

Is anyone else experiencing such large usage discrepancies in the latest billing??

I expect to contact Notla tomorrow.

Just sayin, check your bills, would be interesting to see what's happenin.

Also check your meter to make sure the count is correct.

I've checked everything meter, potential leak sources, toilet hanging up, the whole gamete, only to find no obvious problems.

Talked with Notla today. The young lady was polite helpful and promised to investigate.

Don't know, just wondered if anyone else was experiencing such significant increases.

Thanks for your comments.

Water departments go by the gallon count showing on the meter. If it shows 10,000 gallon usage, that means 10,000 gallons of water flowed through the meter.
Easy enough to check the meter count and match to last month's usage.

Also check the ground area between the meter and the house, see if there is water coming to top of ground. Could be a leak there and the ground area along the water line will be more wet than other areas of the yard.

Turn off your main water valve(s) coming into any of your buildings. Then go to your water meter and see it it is turning. If yes, then you have a leak. If no, then it would seem that NWA has a problem.

Thanks again for everyone's comments.

I am satisfied that my concerns were not as originally suspected, but rather simply coincidental.

I appreciate the helpful and courteous responses.
