The way I look at this American Citizens should not be forced into buying health insurance it is your legal right to have or not to have. What next ban on how many children you can have sounds like a Communist country. YEA!!!
It's called personal responsibility. You will get sick and who will pay for it?
That's why car insurance became mandatory.

Most good employers offer healthcare. So buying Obamacare isn't something most of us are concerned about.

I can afford it because I already have my insurance I buy. I am grandfathered in because I was responsible and purchased my own plan. I drive less expensive cars I paid cash for. It is funny, I hear all these idiots saying they can't afford obamacare, then get into their expensive FINANCED vehicles. Well, if you want to put your nice care above your health...that should be your right. Only problem is we as taxpayers had to pick up the bill when your assetless azs has to go the ER and when your irresponsible azs has to go on medicaid. Let's face it. We you loosers who are crying about not being able to afford obamacare were going to end up costing us taxpayers a fortune anyhow one day. I am glad you are now being forced to pony up for some of it...just like us responsible folks have had to. And if you were too unhealthy to get insurance before...well this is your golden ticket...embrace it. I make bad choices sometimes too, but your don't see me here whining or complaining about it here and blaming others. dumbarse

Personal Responsibility ?

Wow - that sounds like something a conservative should be happy about.

Imagine....being requires to carry insurance to pay for the medical and hospital care you and your family receive, instead of being a freeloading deadbeat making us responsible Americans pay your bills.

What a concept !

Walk I to any ER and look at the mass of freeloading deadbeats getting free medical care at everyone else's expense.
Typical Right wingers... They never, ever, ever, pay for their wars, their medical care, or their tax breaks.
Like Ronnie Ray-Gun said "Ask what your country can do for you - not what you can do for your country."

I bet we'd enjoy a great cup of coffee and a lively discussion.

Such as....

I just saw the report demonstrating that everywhere the Right Wing Wackos refused to cooperate in the ObamaCare "Roll Out", the implementation of ObamaCare has been fraught with problems.

An exact repeat of what happened when Medicare was "Rolled Out", and Medicare Part D was "Rolled Out".

The Right Wingers are both taking credit for having made the implementation of ObamaCare more problematical, and criticizing Obama because the implementation of ObamaCare was problematical.

Kind of like setting fire to the house, turning the water of to the water hydrants, then bitching the fire department didn't put the fire out as quickly as they should have.

How do you rationally discuss anything with people who proudly proclaim their goal to to prevent our government from enacting the laws of the land ?

I like your opinions Informed OPinion. Pissed is not the word for me after all this fiasco of the past weeks. Don't call them right wingers they are dang Republicans the party of NO and anyone that would go along with Ted Cruz is crazy as he is. Cruz even looks crazy. I hope they show Boehner the highway too. I have never believed a word he said. Obamacare may be good but with all the Republicans and watchers of Fox News sabotaging it who knows. I fall in the category of needing health insurance for months after my policy is cancelled 12/31/13 because I live in the state of GA. I am not moving because my governor is a corrupt nut though. I am one pissed off female because the Republicans did all this for show. Oh it will cost them too, Americans never forget. If little "W" had been so smart and well-remembered wouldn't he be consulted on something once in a while. We never forget.

A truly insightful post.
Absolutely spot on.
Unregulated Capitalism has proven once again to destroy the host country that sponsors it. It always has, and by design always must result in monopolies and oligarchies.
Since Teddy Roosevelt, Franklin Roosevelt, and Eisenhower our "Mixed Economy" provided for a Middle Class with sufficient resources to battle the überrich, maintaining an equilibrium in the distribution of wealth and power.
Now, the überrich have convinced Right Wingers that whether Joan marries Sally is more important than whether they live their lives as serfs. As they destroy the unions they wonder why wages and benefits fall. As they empower the wealthy to make more and more laws favoring the wealthy, they wonder why the wealthy get wealthier, and the poor get poorer.
If, and when sanity returns it will be in the form of a Mixed Economy,(Part Regulated Capitalism and Part Socialism), with a government that protects the rights of the people and the private sector unions, as well as the rights of the corporations.
Exactly! You and Deep South are precisely correct....the next few years should be exceedingly interesting.

I wonder if you have come to believe that what Grandpa said about moderation being the solution to almost all problems is true.

I have come to believe extremists are very dangerous creatures. Extremism almost always creates disaster.

Extremist Laissez Faire Capitalism always leads to monopolies, oligarchies, and the destruction of democracy.

Extremist Communism always leads to government monopolies, oligarchies, and the destruction of democracy.

The only system that ever has worked is a "Mixed Economy", with enough Capitalism to encourage hard work an risk taking,
mixed with enough Socialism to allow individual "Davids" to battle the "Goliaths".

Hey.. who knows, maybe the Right Wingers attempts to keep democracy for working will fail, and we'll see the pendulum swing back to rationality.
