Sassafrass Tea

There is talk of local restaurants and maybe this will be ok to start. I collect Royal brand Currier and Ives dishes and have run out of places to find it. It was popular in the 50's and is dark blue and white but not Blue Willow. I got the majority of pieces in Franklin NC at Whistlestop and Dillard Ga also. This pattern has sentimental meaning to me because it was my mothers.

Hi sassafras Tea, my father and mother travelled the world before they passed. They collected and brought many pieces of Yaldro back with them. I have them all, now nobody wants them. Funny what means everything to some and nothing to others.

Good evening Bears Way, I am not familiar with that pattern but will look it up. I am sure it is beautiful. I don't like everything my parents had but this china pattern is "just my style". I hope all is well with you and I am so sorry for well you know what I did.

I looked Yaldro up and they are very very beautiful. You have a beautiful collection. Maybe your granddaughter will love them one day. Take care.

Yes, Gracie Lou I have. I would love to look at them in person though because there are many reproductions out there as well as damaged and unfortuntely I have a few when I started collecting. I just like to pick and choose because they are usually sold piecemeal instead of sets now. It has been a good experience and the time with friends antiquing is worth the hunt. I posted this because I thought a poster would know what I was looking for and point me to the place. Thank you.
