Wait till cigs get to $10/pk, and they'll have to start searching rectums. Make cigs more valuable than pot and meth, and it'll put the drug dealers out of business, an idea. Some of these culprits were even sipping 64oz drinks. I wonder how much tax money was not collected either on illegal drugs, another thought.

Prosecutors wrap up north Georgia tobacco case
By Derreck Booth Editor
ATLANTA - Georgia's attorney General Wednesday announced a tobacco trafficking investigation that included Hall and Gwinnett counties wrapped up with a guilty plea by the final suspect.
Sam Olens said the 18 month prosecution resulted in the collection of more than $1.3 million in unpaid tobacco taxes and the sentencing of 49 defendants.
It involved 22 indictments that also included people in Cobb and DeKalb counties. The initial arrests happened in October of 2011.
The overall case involved three years of investigation by local, state and federal authorities. According to Olens' Office, the suspects avoided paying the state excise tax on cigarettes by buying untaxed cigarettes with counterfeit excise stamps.
The illegal cigarette trade is a serious threat to government revenues, ATF Special Agent in Charge Christopher Shaefer said.
It sends a strong message that law enforcement in Georgia will work together to detect and prosecute those who cheat by not paying tobacco taxes," Olens said.
The names of all 49 defendants and their charges were not immediately available.
Agencies involved in the case included the ATF Atlanta Field Division, Georgia Attorney Generals Office, Georgia Department of Revenue, the Gwinnett County District Attorneys Office, the Lawrenceville Police Department and the Gwinnett County Sheriffs Department.
