What started the demise of America? The answer could to construed as Government. In our start as a nation our founding fathers envisioned a country that was free to worship as we pleased. Own our own property and use that property as best suited us. We could open a business and the law of supply and demand determined if it were to survive. We could farm our land and no one but God above determined how much or little we could produce. We bought and paid for all that we brought from other countries and they paid for what they got from us. No free giveaways. And then we invented politicians who now tell us what we can do, how we can do it and for how long we can do it. Be careful it will not be long until they will be telling us if we can reproduce or not. Wouldn't you hate to go to Lamar and ask him if you and your spouse can have sex tonight?

Looks like you should have had a few more thoughts before posting...

So the demise of America started with the formation of government and politicians, but the start of America was with the ratification of the US Constitution that provided the governmental framework and the means to elect the representatives who make the laws that govern us all.

Why do you hate America?

You're still a few thoughts short of a good post...

Howdy Folks,

I'm a Western State with lots of coal. Lots of my citizens are employed mining coal. Lots of my citizens are employed by power plants that use cheap coal. The citizens of this state love the low power rates that cheap coal provides. Power intensive industries flock to my state and employee lots of my citizens.

My primary responsibility is to the industries that reside in my state that employ my citizens. Any supposed health concerns from burning coal with be dealt with by the invisible hand of the marketplace, just because these health issues won't show up immediately are not my concern. My concern must focus on a business friendly environment that provides for the livelihood of my citizens now.

It's just too bad that so many of you other states happen to live down wind, not much I can do about that because my State's Rights trump a strong federal government. Did I mention that one of our most profitable manufacturers makes an excellent line of breathing masks. Many of our citizens use them all day everyday proving their worth.

Shame, but the Urban Dictionary won't allow that link.

Howdy Folks,

I'm a property owner and I've just opened a fantastic new theatre with the lowest admission in town. We will have first rate shows and premiere attractions, fun for the whole family.

Because we live in a state and locale that has no burdensome building codes I've been able to hold down my constructions costs and pass those saving onto you and your families. None of the laborers who built my theatre are licensed in any of their trades, but all claimed a high proficiency in their chosen trade. I was able to complete construction ahead of schedule and under budget because many of the laborers possessed both a hammer and wire cutters.

My theatre is made of wood frame construction, with wood seating and all materials, from draperies to seat cushions, are not flame retardant. There will be a large smoking section for your enjoyment.

All of my exit doors open inward, and none of them are marked.

Again, you'll just love my low, low admission price.

You've located your source of drinking water very close to my property line.

It best suits my plans to locate my septic drain field very close to your source of drinking water, who's to say how close is too close, certainly not any intrusive government agency.

How are you going to prove that the cholera that killed your family came from my septic system.

Great post.

You could save even more money with great asbestos insulation,

Of course smoke detectors and sprinklers are unnecessary.

We have giveaway toys for the small children painted in colorful lead paint, and my buddy will happily provide the snacks for the moviegoers. He has TB, but promises he'll try not to cough around the patrons or in their food.

We might suggest to prevent people sneaking in without paying you chain and padlock the doors.

Just wanted to help out a fellow entrepreneur.

Most folk are certainly aware of the necessity of the indispensable fundamentals that a civil society establishes through laws and regulations.

For us, our founders fathers originally provided, from the very beginning, a representative republic by establishing governing documents culminating in one of the greatest documents a Nation has ever been given – The Constitution of the United States of American.

Unfortunately, those we have been electing of late, fail to recognize their commitments both to that document, and ‘we – the people’ who elect them.

And, as many of us are seeing on this site/thread:

There are those who are consistently attempting to make a mockery of the intended rational of a system of laws that they themselves have taken part in twisting, distorting, and perverting to a point of utter suppression, oppression, and government intrusion that affects every aspect of our daily lives.

I need not make specific reference to these foolish distracters, individually; most folks regularly visiting this site recognize those irrational rambling.

Of course they are a mere distraction; nonetheless, they are indeed complicit as they strive to present a personal affront to those folks, having the God given intelligence to recognize their ploy.

Although, our opponents achieve little; Please ignore these distractions.

The Time is Now. We only have from now until Tuesday November 5th to get the attention of those not yet aware of why we need ---

NEW RESPONSIVE LEADERSHIP FOR BLAIRSVILLE.

And why is important to, at least for now ---

Just couldn't defeat the argument obviously.

When I put a pig farm next to your bedroom window, or start an all-night ATV race track with stadium lighting next to your Mom's house; and start burning toxic waste next to your kids' grade school, I'm glad to know you'll be supporting my right to do so.

I bet though, you'll be the first guy to call the zoning people complaining and to file a lawsuit alleging I created a private nuisance; and the EPA because your kids are coming home from school vomiting blood. And you should.

It's always amazing to watch the very poor and working-class people people complain about government regulations, when they are the very people who most need the protections afforded by those regulations.

The Koch Brothers, Warren Buffet, the Walton Family, and their class really don't need protection from others abusing them or their rights.

Bob, the guy who makes $27K a year, with 3 kids, a mortgage, a car payment, and a wife with Crohn's Disease, he and his family are completely powerless when abused by big business or powerful interests.

So why is "Bob" so worried about corporations with profits higher than ever in modern history ?

Is it just an emotional response to well-implemented manipulation ?
