It all depends on who you are. That is why Mountain Voice is not going to drop his investigation.
She did the crime , Why not the time?
Who else was involved?

ACOG has been trying to point out all of the corruption that is costing the citizen of our county money and lives.
This family was a victim of the corrupt judicial system that has plagued this area for years.

I appreciate the efforts of ACOG. Some I agree some not, however, society today does not care for others. Therefore, Until this same corruption hits their family they will support corruption. That's their way of thinking.

To all the others Keep up the fight. I am in with you.

I'm not knocking ACOG, but there is a time and a place for everything. See politics brought in on a murder topic where a 19 year old was injured by his own great grandfather makes me wonder if ACOG has any more class than the government they complain about. My answer would be no, they are classless.

I know more sheriffs and deputy sheriffs who have gone or going to federal jail and state jail than I do local citizens.
We have a real problem here with our elected officials.
Also there was a sole commissioner in Towns county who went to jail for taking bribes. I think it was about $600 on a paving contract.
Between Towns county and Union county we have more living officials who went to prison than living officials who were not jailed? Yet?
One ex Union county sheriff went to work as a jailer in Towns county and wound up in jail by crimes he committed in Towns county jail!
Shall we start talking about elected state officials families next. There is a story there that never made the North Georgia News.
The newspapers never wrote about this stuff did they Norman?
BTW--How is all of this not reporting or slanting the news for theses folks ( friends.....) working for you now?

If the NGN wrote what really goes on in Union County people would stop believing that they live in Mayberry.

The NGN is not helping the situations at all. That is why we need a REAL NESPAPER in Union County.

I think the newspaper in all of the counties within in this circuit are owner by the same company. I see this complaint in all counties. they just refuse to print the truth. Now they will cover Easter Egg Hunts of which the people already know about.

Funny how the local papers will quote what the articles n the AJC state happens in their own neighborhood.

ACOG you're my hero!!! Your investigation found that a man being the victim of a corrupt government has resulted in him killing his daughter and harming his great grandson. Their blood is on the county's hands. I think we should rally to have this man released from jail. You could let him stay with you and you can take care of him and treat him like the king and victim he is. Forget all the law enforcement that risk their lives during this stand off, they are corrupt and caused this. I think the family should file a wrongful death suit against the county, they caused this. Great job, go talk to Mason, you would be a great investigator.

Who said ACOG was defending the man for killing his daughter. The daughter herself was on here defending him at one point. I think you may have gone off the deep end. Is the water colder on the deep end?

Of course, the fan club chimes in. I think it amounts to one or two people who post using different names. My guess one is Mountain Vice.

Former officer faces murder charge in Union County

BLAIRSVILLE - Union County authorities have charged a former Florida police officer with murder in the shooting death of his daughter Sunday.

According to Fox 5, 80 year old Frank Miller allegedly shot and killed his daughter, 59-year-old Collen Grant, and shot his great-grandson in the leg.

The young man was outside the Miller Cove Road residence when authorities responded to the 911 call.

"He gave us a good layout of the house, who was in the house, that the only living person in there was his great-grandfather," Union County Sheriff Mack Mason told Fox 5.

Miller held authorities at bay for several hours before officers went in.

"They rammed the door, made entry, flash bang grenade and then tazed him," Mason told the TV station.

Mason said there were about 40 loaded firearms in the house and that the situation could have been much worse.

The great-grandson is recovering, according to Fox 5.

Miller faced malice murder and aggravated assault charges Monday.

Hey, Mountain Voice could get a real job if he applied.
Think of the possibilities?

So Frank was an 80 year old retired LE officer. Would it makes a difference if he was a 80 year old businessman, banker, lawyer, brick layer, cook, bottle washer, car mechanic, or any other job?

Just a thought

Yes it would make a difference. Law Enforcement officers are suppose to be mentally stable and capable of carrying a weapon without using it unnecessary. Course our old deputies make that questionable. The general public don't want just anyone walking around with a weapon.

According to the newspaper he had 40 loaded guns in the house. That's a lot of guns for anybody to keep loaded. Of course maybe he didn't load all of them until that night.
