Isn't it interesting how NOW there is an new investigation of the crash of TWA Flt 800 about to begin? PERFECT TIMING. Amazing the lengths this administration will go to divert the attention of the American people. Now the FBI is being accused of a coverup. That was Clinton's watch. Guess he is going to get thrown under the bus for Obama. This is absolutely the most worthless administration that this country has EVER experienced.

What a bunch of revisionist claptrap.
It was not Democrats who filibustered, but one Democrat. And as you can see from the votes in both the House and the Senate there was a clear regional division in the Democratic Party.
Now, I wonder why the "great and powerful big government" had to step in as "the benefactor of social justice", was it because the States had failed thier citizens.
Civil_Rights_Act_of_1957
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Civil_Rights_Act...
...Democratic Senator Strom Thurmond of South Carolina, an ardent segregationist, sustained the longest one-person filibuster in history in an attempt to keep the bill from becoming law. His one-man filibuster lasted 24 hours and 18 minutes; he began with readings of every state's election laws in alphabetical order. Thurmond later read from the Declaration of Independence, the Bill of Rights, and George Washington's Farewell Address. His speech set the record for a Senate filibuster.[2] The bill passed the House with a vote of 285 to 126 (Republicans 167-19 for, Democrats 118-107 for)[3] and the Senate 72 to 18 (Republicans 43-0 for, Democrats 29-18 for).[4] President Eisenhower signed it on September 9, 1957.
==========
Civil_Rights_Act_of_1964
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Civil_Rights_Act...
On June 11, 1963, President Kennedy met with the Republican leaders to discuss the legislation ahead of his television address to the nation that evening. Two days later, Senate Minority Leader Everett Dirksen and Senate Majority Leader Mike Mansfield both voiced support for the president's bill, except for provisions guaranteeing equal access to places of public accommodations. This led to several Republican Congressmen drafting a compromise bill to be considered. On June 19, the president sent his bill to Congress as it was originally written, saying legislative action was "imperative".[5][6] The president's bill went first to the House of Representatives, where it was referred to the Judiciary Committee, chaired by Emmanuel Celler, a Democrat from New York. After a series of hearings on the bill, Celler's committee strengthened the act, adding provisions to ban racial discrimination in employment, providing greater protection to black voters, eliminating segregation in all publicly owned facilities (not just schools), and strengthening the anti-segregation clauses regarding public facilities such as lunch counters. They also added authorization for the Attorney General to file lawsuits to protect individuals against the deprivation of any rights secured by the Constitution or U.S. law. In essence, this was the controversial "Title III" that had been removed from the 1957 and 1960 Acts....
...When the bill came before the full Senate for debate on March 30, 1964, the "Southern Bloc" of 18 southern Democratic Senators and one Republican Senator led by Richard Russell (D-GA) launched a filibuster to prevent its passage.[10] Said Russell: "We will resist to the bitter end any measure or any movement which would have a tendency to bring about social equality and intermingling and amalgamation of the races in our (Southern) states."
I think Richard B. Russell's daughter married a black man. Seems like I remember reading that somewhere during some research I was doing.

Another day, another article about what is going to happen with Obamacare.

This article is from the Wall Street Journal, so it should pass CB's test. Of course, "prove me wrong" from Dahlonega has never HEARD of the Wall Street Journal, but I'm sure the rest of you have because you all have a BRAIN.
Just trying to give you a heads up on what is coming.

Thank goodness you have an up to date grasp of the political landscape.

While it is possible to obtain programming from Chris Matthews...

It's going to be very difficult to do it from Air America...

Air America (formerly Air America Radio and Air America Media) was an American radio network specializing in progressive talk programming. It was on the air from March 2004 to January 2010.

Okay. Here is your proof. You are waaaaay out of your league on this forum. All you do is throw inflamatory remarks and add nothing to any of the discussions.
Your first sentence is interesting. So, Obama doesn't have a superiority complex????? He is not arrogant????? That PROVES you are as out of touch as your hero, Obama. Where are your links? You call CNN and Wall Street Journal unknowns? Move on. You've got nothing. Seriously, give it up.
I realized something late last night. Its not what you believe that is the real problem, I think differing points of view are just one of the things that made this country. The problem with you and your friends is the arrogance and superiority that you think you have over others. Never willing to even consider that you are wrong. Conservatives like you and Bill give the group a bad name. The conservative groups you belong to want to force their beliefs on everyone and that's not the way it works in America. Its the reason your movement can't win on a national level, now or ever. Not being able to see or admit it when you are wrong, making mountains out of mole hills on a regular basis trying to justify what you do and say no matter what the facts are. Its that you are so damn arrogant about it, like you have a direct line to what's right for everyone, you don't. You read a post that differs with what you think and never even consider the other side, just put it down as stupid and inaccurate, without even checking to see if the facts refute what you say. They normally do, but you carry on anyway as if what you think and believe trumps what's factual.
I have had fun just making fun of you and your old woman ways. The same with Bill, his arrogance is sickening but its fun to play with him, like playing with a snake you know is harmless. When the snake thinks its Gods gift to humanity, and its not it starts to be boring. That being said its time to stop the fun, you and Bill are fun to play with but I have become truly sick of the both of you, to the point if I actually knew you I would want to have a face to face "talk". Never would have thought I could hate two people for being so arrogant and clueless, but you two just ooze that I'm better than everyone else with every word the two of you type. I think you are the same person, but I makes no difference I have better things to do. I can find something else that's fun and not have to know that people like the two you of even waste Gods oxygen. As a last tribute to you and Bill, I will now carry out the garbage.

I see you are not wearing your Critical Thinking Cap again.

You do realize that what you have linked to is an unatrributed editorial.

This "theory" was never seriously accepted by anyone...
"The involvement of Paz thickens the plot considerably and shatters the theory that two rogue agents in Cincinnati got bored in their cubicles one day and decided to target for special scrutiny Tea Party and other conservative groups."

And we've already seen Darrell Issa's manipulation of the narrative through selective release of transcripts...
"The full transcript of Paz's interview has not been released. Democrats say that's because the full transcript would reveal no vast left-wing conspiracy, with Elijah Cummings, ranking Democrat on the House Oversight Committee, proclaiming the investigation over.

Oooops....
The Fake Story About the IRS Commissioner and the White House
White House records show Douglas Shulman signed in for 11 visits, not 157, between 2009 and 2012.
GARANCE FRANKE-RUTAMAY 31 2013, 10:35 AM ET
http://www.theatlantic.com/politics/archive/2...

If Paz and Lerner were not only orchestrating the Tea Party scrutiny but also monitoring the investigation of that action, were these among the things discussed when former IRS Commissioner Douglas Shulman made 157 visits to the White House?

The TWA lead investigators were NOT allowed to speak to the public or refute any comments made by their superiors about the investigation findings at that time.
They waited until AFTER retirement to reveal, the official conclusion by the NSTB was FALSIFIED to lay out what would be told to family members & public.
