It's a great country and you are allowed to express your opinion, and believe it or not you make some good points.

Politics is a circus, but we citizens aren't the clowns, we're the suckers.
In fact one opinion writer proposed that instead of referring to the working class, we should be called the "Sucker Class", because Wall Street and the multi-national corporations consider us all "Suckers."

There is one big circus, I agree, and whether the Demos or Repubs are in charge doesn't matter a lot- they co-own the circus, and provide entertainment to us Suckers.

Definately not this Republican or any others.

Even if you are a Democrat, Jeb, I am surprised by your response.

Besides, why did you leave General Lee in the dark about Federal troop positions at a critical time just before the battle at Gettysburg?

Agreed. Perhaps it's just me, but it seems that more and more people are figuring this out. I don't recall a time when I have heard so many people state that politicians, in general, care NOTHING about us. It's all grandstanding and chest beating while we, the people, are suffering. I've always contended that politicians put on a good show of postering and bickering while on camera and then when the camera is off, they slap each other on the back and go out for drinks and dinner. Any suggestions? We can vote them out, but then the new crop goes in, gets caught up in the perks and ends up being a part of the "back slapping club".

Real Republicans agree that rich White men like MANIFEST DESTINY is nature's mandate. Its true they really believe this. They keep it on the low low hush hush. But now days they are starting to get brazen about it and not GIVE A - whether anyone is shocked about it or not. I heard them say Colin is just angry cause he ain't 100% White so they say he can go to he--. I heard one republican calling Colin Powell RAMBO SAM--. I was shocked. Republicans are getting wild these days. They are off the chain.
So there are no rich white Democrats? I've heard Democrats refer to Colin Powell(before he supported Obama) as an Uncle Tom. I've heard Democrats refer to Condeleeza Rice as a wannabe white girl. I've heard Democrats refer to Herman Cain as an Uncle Tom. So, what's your point?

It seems to me that there isn't a nickles worth of difference between the parties. They argue all the time but the liberals almost always get their way. I think both parties act like they are against each other but they really are not. They wine and dine with each other and in the end they all want their hidden kickbacks and to get reelected. Most are socialist and want to be the ruling elite or at least in the elite crowd just as the news media is. They don't care about us. They think only about how they can make themselves more famous and richer. Just look at Al Gore. He is now richer than Mitt Romney but you don't hear any liberals saying anything bad about him. You are in the click or you are not. We are not.

my reply was'tongue in cheek'.about jeb at gettysburg-he had a flair for the dramatic.he was off raiding, showing off, etc.,while he should have doing his job.when he finally did show up,bragging to gen. lee about the 60 or so wagons of booty, gen.lee told him that they were "only an impediment to him now".more later,on my lunch.

You and the rest of the conserative arm of the repug party are totaly out of touch with reality. Young folks are sick of consertives pushing for budget cuts that primiraly affect the young. They are sick of hearing how you want them to continue to pay your social security while theirs is cut to the bone. They are sick of programs to protect the baby boomer generation at the expense of thier generation. Can't blame them, this whole economic mess is the result of baby boomers overspending, overbarowing and over expecting. When reality struck in the form of g.b. and the house of cards fell they only looked to the young to sacrifice. Younger voters are much smarter than you think.
Why did so many of them vote for bush and support the war in Iraq?

If anyone is really serious about cleaning up our government than we have got to get a grass roots effort to demand there be an amendment setting term limits on government representatives. If they could no longer see election to the House or Senate as the first step to their own enrichment (see Harry Reid for a classic example) we might actually have votes on legislation that are based on what is perceived as good for the country, not what is good for my various supportive interest groups. Instead, once again, NY rep Jose Serrano has introduced a bill to repeal the 22nd Amendment limiting the President to two terms.
True, I would also add Mitch McConnel, John McCann, and Boener to the list of no shows for the nxt election.

Yes, they do pay more in terms of dollars, but less in terms of percentages - because the top level owns some 80% of the wealth.

anyway, kinfolk said, jeb, move away from there.....oh,wrong jeb..that was jeb clampett.you were asking about jeb stuart at gettysburg.well,it's true jeb was 'awol' at that battle, but as gen. ewell said after the war,"there were enough mistakes made at that battle to go around, and God knows that i made more than my share"(more or less a quote).and he was right.a.p.hill,stuart,ewell and even lonstreet(lee's 'old warhorse')all let gen.lee down.even lee did'nt seem to have brought his'a' game.it was almost like a 'perfect storm' of errors, misjudgements, misunders tandings, etc.or,who knows, maybe just a little 'devine intervention'.on one final thought, some historians/physicians have suggested that gen. lee suffered a mild heart attack on the eve of the battle, and there is some evidence to support this.

How about the same percentage of taxation, for every entity?

They pay the same tax rates on the same type of income as do all taxpayers.

Less in terms of percentages? LMAO, when about half the country doesn't pay ANY federal income tax.

Your wealth envy and lack of knowledge is showing again...
