We may not make it to the Cabin for Christmas, but we will be there in our hearts. Our last Christmas at the Cabin we were stranded by the snow and Dad's health won't allow us to take that chance this year. When we were "stranded", the kids and I sledded down the mountain road on wax covered cardboard "For Sale" signs. My Mom, who has since passed, supervised, and as mom's everywhere do, kept warning us that we were gonna get hurt. A great family memory we'll never lose. We cooked hot dogs on the fire pit with the family, had snow ball fights, and my son went "deer hunting" with a BB gun, a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, and lots of enthusiasm. No deer were injured. At the time, it seemed a big inconvenience, but having lost family members since then, in retrospect, it was a blessing that have us all more time together. I hope you have the chance to make memories like that this Christmas.

Great stories from all of you. We have been planning to meet and have our day out for months. I went shopping with some old work associates and we laughed, gossiped a little (caught up), discussed family, their grandkids, picked up everything in the stores, played with toys, put on hats, ate at Longhorn's. It was great!
