I went there and I thought it was awesome. I will def be going back. They were patient and spent quality time with me asking all the right questions and seemed geniunely concerned that I was treated for exactly what was wrong with me and not just telling me it was a virus like you here everywhere else. Im glad that they are there.

I have given them a try! So yeah I can talk bad about them. It was okay until I was prescribed a (life threatening) medication that I did not even need!!! Thank God I didn't start taking it. Should have filed malpractice but didn't. I doubled and triple questioned this also. They do not have a Dr. just all these pee-ons.(PA,LPN,FNP) When I go to a Doctor I want to see a DOCTOR! I am paying DOCTOR prices. It would be like paying for a rib eye and getting a plain hamburger. I think the world is misunderstanding that concept. Why would you think it's okay to see a LPN instead of a DOCTOR and pay what a DOCTOR would charge?(Guess it's buyer beware) Gets my skin crawling! Enjoy!

well, hopefully you were honest with them about everything you take, all medication has side affects. and besides, they are nurse practioners and have never charged me doctor prices a matter of fact their lab prices are cheaper than anywhere I have ever seen! sorry you had that happen but I find it hard to believe, they are wonderful and have helped saved my life, i am forever grateful.

Blaine resident, if you had a bad experience, you should have notified the owners. If you wanted to see a doctor, you should have went elsewhere. We have always advertised we have Nurse Practitioners. Nurse Practitioners are great care givers and take their jobs as personal as any doctor. It's your choice who you see. As for everyone else, we appreciate you letting us care for you. I would like to announce that we have a new addition to our practice, Chandra Blanken is the provider at Cumberland Gap Medical. She is a Family Nurse Practitioner that will care for the entire family and all ages (children included). It took some time and several temporary Nurse Practitioners while waiting for Chandra to come on board with us, but she is finally here. Go by and see Chandra and see for yourself that she is a wonderful person as well as a super provider.

Mrs. Blanken is awesome and will make a difference. You will be really happy with Mrs. Blanken. If you have an issue, please have the courtesy to discuss it with her, please give her a chance, do not judge her by the past. Changes are a process and do not happen overnight.
Then go else where

If you don't like the place don't go there. That is why Blaine will continue to be just like Mayberry. Any change or growth in this town people have to find something wrong with it, thats why we don't have a Food City or a gas station that we can actually afford to get gas from. I was very impressed with Cumberland Gap and everyone we saw there. Who cares if you see other providers with in the office as long as they are all efficient at their jobs and friendly as well. Keep up the good work Cumberland Gap I for one am happy to have a Dr. 5 minutes from my home that has consistantly given us great care, the only thing that could make them even better is them seeing children under age 13.

I heard the nurse is quitting? is this true? she is so awesome and everytime we are in she is so sweet to everyone and is really the only bright eyed friendly person you come in contact with. we have not been in since the new doctor, glad they got a new one but sometimes you spend more time with the nurse than you do the doctor, does anyone know if this is true? she always smiles and talks so great about the place and how she loves what she does, why would she leave then? I find this hard to believe but I have seen her crying before and when I ask her why she just smiled and said she was okay but if it is true I am sure most people including my family could guess why and be right. that nurse has a gift a true gift that you just don't see in nurses it will be a great shame if they let her go!!! not just for them but for families like ours!if she is quitting i'm sure it's for a good reason and hopefully the boss will find out and try and fix it so she will stay, she's the best I have ever seen or had and I have been to a lot of doctors, I am disabled and all of my family that go there love her and say she always has a way of making them feel comfortable and happy. I hope to get to meet the new doctor soon, i have heard good things about her

I hate that she is leaving ! Big mistake on that office to let her go ! It doesn't look good to keep having turn over with staff! Some people may not notice cause little town but it's telling me something isn't right ! Cause she enjoys her job as nurse dealing with patients ! So Ms Office manger or Nurse manger it's your job to find out what's going on . Its a shame what women has to put up with ! A receptionist is easier to replace than a good nurse ! Rember that !

I agree. That nurse is the best Blaine has ever had in my opinion. she is a full package. I agree with you, some of the staff they have had needs to be evaluated and replaced, but, not her. maybe they should start by asking patients how we feel and have felt. I think most patients would agree with some changes but losing her isn't one of them. I hate it if she is leaving I am sure she must have a good reason.she seems to give a meaning and character to the place. her coming back was the best thing that happened there. The new provider is great and the nurse seemed happy with her being there, I suspect it has to do with the jealous receptionist she always gives the nurse dirty eye rolls when she has her back turned and interrupts when shes talking to patients- i've seen it. I don't know the reason but I heard it to from someone at okies and even the person at okies was shocked and disappointed in losing her over there.
LISTEN TO YOUR PATIENTS

I ALSO AGREE,DEAR CUMBERLAND GAP MEDICAL,PLEASE LISTEN TO YOUR PATIENTS, IF THIS IS TRUE HAVE YOU TRIED TO KEEP THE NURSE? SURE YOU MAY GET ANOTHER GOOD ONE BUT IN THIS TOWN IT'S DOUBTFUL! YOU NEED THAT NURSE AND SO DO YOUR PATIENTS. WE ARE USE TO HER AND SHE TREATS US WELL. SURE EVERYINE IS NOT GOING TO BE HAPPY OR SATISFIED BUT FROM THE READINGS MOST ARE. I AGREE LOOK AT YOUR OTHER STAFF!

My family use to go there, was a great place once before. I agree the nurse was awesome and the best I too have ever had. The place does have a lot of turn-over which shouldn't matter as long as you get good care. That receptionist is welll.....see for yourself. and that Blanken girl is gonna surprise them, if she don't own it already then she will or take their patients with her after she gets em built up! that family is all about money hers and her husbands. that practice may think they have something good there but them people and their money hungry selves will bring em down sooner or later. I'll stick to somewhere else where it aint aboutthe money.

until you know the rest of the story, please refrain from making comments. this move was for the better of the clinic. time will tell and you will be completely satisfied. and the comment about the Blanken's owing the clinic, they may already own it and that could be a piece of the puzzle you do not know yet and cannot gossip about, but, now until announcement, you can guess about it!!!!!!
