These penalties are a good reason there will soon be a drug dealer on every street corner. A country going down the sewer.

11 years for a coke dealer and a total pass for a sex offender. The legal system is a wonderful circus side show.

No dam wonder the younger kids act like animals. Look at the parents who give no guidance and look at our legal system. Ahhhh what a wonderful world we live in huh.......

The sentence is 3 to 6 years if all is running concurrent like most all sentences. So...she'll be out after doing a little over 3 years most likely. Why doesn't the newspaper explain the facts?

And why doesn't a life sentence mean it is the entire life of the guilty person? But no, they could be walking the streets in 7 years. If you get 3 years for drug dealing...then you get 3 years. None of this good behavior crap!

There must be something missing. 11 yrs for dealing two bags of coke? Must be more in her past. Or maybe the sentencing should be better explained.

No it doesn't! My friends brother from Pittsburgh got a life sentence for murder when he was 22 years old and was out in 13 years at the age of 35. My friend doesn't think it was enough and it is her brother. Since that time he committed burglary to a home and robbed a convenience store and got small prison terms for them. He is now 40 and walking the streets.

I also like Pepsi!

I think that is why they say "life with the possibility of parole" or "life without the possibility of parole" That could be the confusion!

Daily Horoscope for December 4

Libra

You're at your most idealistic and romantic today, which is saying something. You have no desire to come into contact with brutal reality unless you have absolutely no choice in the matter. Instead, you want to float away into a world of your own, preferably accompanied by someone utterly wonderful. However, don't fall into the trap of kidding yourself about something or someone, especially if you know full well that this will break your heart further down the line.
