the only problem i have with shelters is the process to adopt. You would think you are adopting a freaking chinese baby. the application and interview and home inspection. jesus christmas....its a cat. i will never adopt from shelters, i buy from pet stores only. no fuss no muss. in and out with a new little baby.
The reason for this is to make sure the animal is going to a good home. There are people out there especially during Halloween who only want to adopt a black cat and why do you think that is. They are not looking for a pet!

I hope the other 399 people who wanted to adopt this cat took another one instead. Even non-celebrity cats need a home!!
I AGREE !! Why aren't there 400 applications for every animal in need of a home?

Have to agree with you Mom of Twins. Who really cares about a stupid fat cat when we are dealing with some of the biggest problems in US history. All you in hear enertained by this story must be well off or something. Screw the cats, donate them all to science so that BIO major students can cut them up and learn something that will help in the medical treatment of a HUMAN.

I'd like to cut you up but I'm sure the only thing I'd learn is that you're just as much of an **** on the inside as you are on the outside. It is solely because of people like YOU that many of us HUMANS have more compassion for animals than people.
*clapping hands* Well done James....we need more guys like you and less idiots like that @$#. I agree - animals deserve compassion muchmore than most humans do.

If only half of the 400 people who wanted to adopt Prince Chunk would take one of the other cats or kittens in the local South Jersey shelters,(Camden County Shelter, Voorhees Animal Orphange or Animal Welfare Assoc). These shelters have hundreds of cats waiting for adoption. Please consider adopting a cat or kitten from one of these no kill shelters. Thanks!
Its too bad most of those people wanted the cat for a story to tell friends , I think taking any of the cats/kittens at any shelter would make a good story :P
