I know as I went past it on Weds. The Drive In looks really good doesn't it. By the way I saw where the store across from the old SPCA had burned. That really is going to hurt that area, most people went to it that lived in Meherrin. Does anyone know what happened?

Flea Markets are better suited for high traffic tourists areas. I'd go to a thrift store if there was one. It wouldn't be worth renting a space for. If there is not a fairly quick turnover, people will stop coming back. I've always wanted to own a thrift store but unfortunely I doubt it is a very profitable business to be in.
There's a Goodwill outlet in Charleston SC that is always packed (mostly hispanics and their children) it is BUSY BUSY and they have bins full of clothes that they fill up and people paw through and it is sold by the pound. I have found stuff with tags still on and you can stuff a garbage bag full of clothes and assessories for like 30 bucks. They are constantly rotating the bins and pulling out new stuff. The people swarm the carts as the guys push new ones out. CHA-CHING that place makes money. Unfortunately, they got connections and donations that a business person would not be able to access.
There's a store in Maine called Marden's that buys and resells damaged property, going out of business sale stuff and whatnots. Furniture building supplies, appliances, department store stuff, specialty stuff, clothes, you name it. The variety of stuff that comes through there and the savings is unbelievable. Basically think half off department store prices, just dust it off and it is good as new. Every week they were ggetting some new and amazing stuff in there and it was always crowded with people. It's was so much fun to shop there. I miss that store :(. It was an old run down building, the size of half a WalMart.

we are missing stores if you ever get the chance somebody was telling me about a place called Traders Village in Kingsport TN. Supposedly they have got three or four buildings bout the size of a foot ball field and those buildings you can supposedly buy furniture, tools and so on. You name it they supposedly got it. Wild life, arts and crafts, including gaming stuff for the children. Something about you can buy like four games for about twenty bucks. They say you spend fourty to fifty bucks you fill your vehicle up. You talking about opening up a thrift store and wanting to own one get one of those big pull behind box trailers and raise the price about a dollar per item you can probably make it. I do believe a thrift shop if ran appropriately could make it. Our community is always looking for bargains.

Blackstone currently has 2 Antique stores and I know Blackstone consignment is just that, a consignment store and their own inventory. Both offer great deals from a silver spoon to a bedroom suite. You need to check them out. The owner at Blackstone Consignment couldn't be nicer. I've personally given him items to sell for me and he's been more than fair.
