Looking For Family Members For Adams Family

Hi, If anyone knows of the Adams Family please contact me. Louise use to run a restaurant on main street and her son William did as well. He was my father. I am trying to locate and get to know my family in the Blackstone or Crewe area.

Dear Meadowville:

I have lived in Blackstone my entire life (50 + years) and I do not recall an Adams family that owned a restaurant in Blackstone. Do you perhaps know the name of the restaurant? There were many, many restaurants in Blackstone during World War II when Camp Pickett was in its hay day. Only a few of those families stayed in Blackstone and I believe they were all Greeks: the Vasilokas family (the Blackstone Restaurant) and; the Papochis and Dragacis families (Paul's Restaurant). These spellings are probably incorrect, but you get my meaning. Bill Mitchell took over Paul's. There was Cecil Gibson who had Tiny's Tavern and then Cecil's. Sullivan's has been around for 20+ years as has Brothers' Pizza. No Adams' family restaurant on Main Street at least since the late-50's that I can recall. Are you sure your family had a restaurant in BLACKSTONE and not BLACKSBURG. Often times people get the two towns confused.
