Persistence didn't pay for a Camden County felon who police said used a stolen pickup truck to repeatedly ram an automated teller machine bolted to a convenience store floor in an attempt to steal it.

He has 19 felony convictions on burglary, attempted burglary, criminal damage to property, theft and drug charges in Southeast Georgia and Nassau County, Fla., the federal indictment and state Department of Corrections records show.
