Anyone know the story on the little white brick building on Dixe Pipeline/Old Dixie School Rd? I'm pretty sure its goverment owned and I've heard it was something to do with the cold war and was maybe like a missile tracking station or something to that effect. Who's knows for sure..... I've lived in the area my whole life and always found it kinda interesting but never found anyone who knew the real deal with it!!

I remember when it was manned. It was multi-purpose keeping tract of aircraft both civilian and military.

If you go in it and dig around and can find the entry door there is a huge bunker under it. It is probably 30 or 40 feet underground. It was there backin the 60's, unless it has caved in.

Thanks for the info, I done some searching online but couldn't come up with much info. Do you know where I may find some good info or talk to anyone that knows about it? I have lived in that my whole life and never been able to find much about it. It has always really intrigued me!!!

If i remember correctly there used to be a tower beside the building. I guess someone took it down.

I've always wondered about it as well. Who owns it? Who owns the field it sits in?
