In what schools are you talking about. Give examples of this proselytizing you are referring to.

I deleted the first response I had to this because I will not sink to your level and argue with you but I will PRAY for you and hope that one day you will find God!!! I'm so sorry for your soul, it's got to be a lonely sad life to live without God in it! And to those that don't know him it is Poison in your Soul! These non-believers must have never faced tragedy in their lives and surly could not be from America!! Such a sad thing not to have God in your heart!

Have you visited any public schools lately? Unfortunately there is more devil there than there is God. I can assure you your child is getting more of what you support than mine is getting of what I support. However, I for one welcome your complaint. It will give us a chance to find out who the real Christians are. Jesus is Lord and your opinion does not affect that one bit!

Why are you so concerned about what others believe? How many kids do you have in school ? I guarantee you that if you ask all the parents of the school 95% rather them teach about God.

I how to find that our citizens believe in God and fear them as they should... God teaches none of the above on this site.... I have one question for all of you who do not believe... How was human beings formed? If you read the bible teaches nothing but to be a good person, neighbor, parent, etc.... If you live by these rules and die to find out there is no God then you have still lived a good life... But if you live a life that God will not be proud of a die not knowing Jesus as your savior and he is real then what will you do in Hell... Just my opinion not satin I am a saint but I am forgiven.

I was not going to post again but "My Thoughts" you said it so well. I asked "Concerned Alumni" from the very beginning if he was absolutely sure there was no God and he would never answer. I will bet that question is now in his head every day. As I told him, "to believe and find out he is right in the end he has lost NOTHING, but to be so sure and not believe in God and our Jesus, Lord and Saviour, and in the very end find out he is wrong he has lost EVERYTHING! I don't think I want to take that chance.

God out of schools, your are out numbered here my friend. Bring it before the board and that will be as far as it gets. You lost your battle when you lost your temper. You would better serve the community to bring before the board something that would help the community as a whole. To belittle our beliefs is not the best way to go about anything. Majority rules my friend. Pick something else to battle, and have a solution to the problem you pick. It will be debated what ever you choose. Attacking religous beliefs is not in your best interest in this community and you will not accomplish anything.

Great job, actually. I make a very good living. My wife makes a very good living. I also receive pension from my time in the military. Together we make a little over 150k a year, which is decent for a young family. But, you just proved a point. You just made christmas out to be about money and presents for your children. Is that what your bible teaches. Again, bring on the morons. So I can slap them down like this clown.
Since you are going to "bring it up", why not post your name now instead of hiding behind a keyboard????? You are a pathetic excuse for a human. You wont slap anyone down, Cletus. You would never go in public and make those statements as YOU would be the one slapped down.I see morons like you come in here and "get off" on seeing how many peoples skin they can get under. I laugh at how stupid you really are coward.

I have to wade in on this one. Choosing whether or not to believe in God is just that... a choice. We teach our children to respect others, and we let them make choices for themselves. Yet, if they are force-fed religion in our public schools, that is NOT A CHOICE!!! If the Christians believe that we should teach our kids religion in our schools, then we should teach them about ALL religions, not just Christianity. Why single out the teachings of Jesus Christ, when those that believe in Buddah are just as convinced that theirs is the one true religion? And Mohammed. And who are we to tell others what or who to believe in? Yes, the Christian Bible tells us that there is only one true God, and Jesus was his son, but there are similar beliefs in other religions, as well. They just have another name for their "Savior" or "Prophet". And how do we explain, without confusing our kids, how the Bible teaches that the Earth and all its creatures was created in six days, when they are taught in school about evolution and natural selection? The very idea that the Christian religion is the only religion that should be taught in public schools is ludicrous, when we try to teach our kids TOLERANCE FOR OTHERS!!! You, as Christians, have made a personal choice to accept Jesus Christ as your personal Savior. If it makes it easier for you to cope with life by believing that, then that works for you. If believing that Islam is right for you, then great. But don't try to tell me that I or my children are wrong to believe in a religion other than Christianity if that is what works for us. Zealotry has killed millions since way before the time when Christ walked the world, and unless we learn to be more tolerant, will kill many millions more. Witness the problems in the Middle East. For centuries Jews, Christians, and Muslims have fought and died, each believing that the other religions were wrong, and were infidels. Who's to say which is right? Instead of teaching our kids that Christianity is the only true religion, we should be teaching them to be more tolerant of others, and not try to force others to our way of thinking by mandating the teaching of Christianity in our schools. If including Christian beliefs in public school curriculum is your idea of getting your child the best education, then I suggest that you put your child into a Christian Academy. There are several in the area. After all, you suggested to that other parent you disagreed with that they should pull their kids out of public school, and home school them. Is that not also an option for Christian parents? Quit trying to legislate morality and religion. Both are covered in our Bill of Rights, the Declaration of Independence, and in the Constitution of the United States, not to mention many state and federal laws already on the books. I accept you as a Christian and also respect your choice to live as one. Try to show as much good Christian belief by living by the words of Jesus Christ himself when he said " Love thy neighbor as thyself."

God is omnipresent. He cannot be taken out of the schools since He is present everywhere. A student who believes in God is filled with the Spirit and no one can do anything about that. The problem is indoctrination. Does one group have the right to force what they believe on another group? I don't think that they do. Instruction about God should be left to the family and the Church. If you try to force what you believe on my child you will experience my wrath.

You are so ignorant. Look at the recent headlines as well as events all over this country. These communities took GOD out. Took him out of their lives and their schools. Is that what you want to happen here? This country was founded on GOD. His name is in our Pledge of Allegiance as well as printed on our money. If you don't like him, then you leave "Our God Fearing" country. I promise you won't be missed!!
