Instead of using Topix.com to gossip or hate on folks, I would like to start a series of post concerning who runs the best business in Alma. I would like to start with who is the best Auto repair business in Alma? Take into consideration honesty, reasonably charge for repair, knowledge, and turnaround. After this post, I will start another for input in a different business of their specialty. Ex: Hardware Store, fast food, etc. However, for this post I want input on Auto Repair in Bacon County.

Good idea!
Wendell Hart has always done a very good job for me. And unlike the horror stories you hear, if it ain't broke, he doesn't fix it.:) |

Wendell Hard does good work and if it ain't broke, he don't fix it. My only complaint is he is a little expensive at times. I like Bruce Burnett. He worked for a dealership for years and knows his stuff. He has updated equipment to diagnose the problem. Seems to be fairly inexpensive too. Also, several years ago there was a mechanic behind Ted's bolt business. His name was Scott. He was a good mechanic, but not sure where he is now?

In my opinion Brian Dixon at Discount tire is the best mechanic in town, when he services your vehicle he checks everything and is very thorough with other repairs also, and he has the if it aint broke don't fix it attitude as well. However he does not run the business and does not control the pricing. I have used them several times only because of Brian, but the owner has really discouraged me because the amount they have charged me for simple repairs, that I did not have time to do myself. And he acts like he don't care if you do business with him or not.
I have used Burrnett's a good bit also, but they discouraged me, because everytime I took my vehicle in they always find "other problems" that they want to fix. Seems like they trying to generate too much business off of one customer. I will probably start using Moon at A&M again. He is also a very good mechanic and his prices are reasonalble. But I also must say, I like Windle Hart as well, he is a little pricey, but he treats you like he appreciates your business. He just does not do major repairs. Need a basic service job then he is your man. This is just my opinion, its all who you trust to work on your vehicle. |

I usually go with Curls, but its where my dad always took his bussiness so I followed suit.
It amazes me how people think of mechanics, one person can think a certian mechanic is one of the best in the world and the very next person can say that They are one of the dumbest folks to ever pick up a wrench. |

I'm moving down from Edmonton soon. So keep a good ( http://www.actionmuffleredmonton.com/en/ ) auto repair watch. My car seems to enjoy trouble.

Why are you moving to Alma ? The only people that stay here are those with deep family ties. Just wondering. |

How much would the best ( http://www.coachecollision.ca ) auto repair cost, instead of getting a little bit less quality car repair? Just curious also, does the price change the quality that you would get? I found a decent place up in North Vancouver, I'm just not sure if the quality is as good as the price.
