- 67% non Republican? Than how did Romney get 48% of the vote - surprise, surprise, your numbers don't add up
- However, you are absolutely right that Gingrich let the 1994 incoming freshman Republicans down when he backed a 12 year term limit plan that went nowhere, instead of the 6-8 year limit that they wanted. Can't argue with you there.
- Don't worry about Republicans "euthanizing" "the system", worry more about Democrats pushing euthanasia for the elderly - that is far more likely. Remember Obama's suggestion for the 100 year old woman whose doctor said her only hope was a pacemaker that "maybe she would be better off taking a pain killer."
- so explain your vulgar comment about Mrs. Romney who from all appearances is a woman of character and grace who raised 5 sons. The Romneys gave away in charity far more than the Clintons, Gores, Bidens, and Obamas combined. Democrats are the ones who come into office with nothing and than parlay it into millions.
So am I mad, yes. I am mad that 51% of those that voted were too uninformed or too partisan to realize the disaster that putting Obama back in office could be for this country.
And so romney was your answer, too bad, he lost!

Your post made me burst out laughing. You make a bucket of rocks seem smart.
On the sad side, you have NO IDEA what you are heading for.
While you laugh Our President has almost 4 more years! Let's see how you laugh when he taxes you more to pay for Iraq and Haliburton. He is going to tax the hell out of you and your kind and TAKE it by force, This will be the most laughing part of it. I'll be clapping and laughing while you get taken to the cleaners.

We the public look for what is wrong in our leaders, rather then what is right. The media loves the trash. We idealize then devalue. People are complicated. We all have strengths and limitations. We have things that are great about us, and we have our personal failings. Why do we think politicians or athletes are immune from being humans?
2. Politicians are televised. Jimmy Carter didn't have much television presence. Perhaps that is why he got so much credit as being the best "ex president". He was off camera.
3. FDR was elected for four terms. He wouldn't make it for one, with polio today, in a wheelchair.
4. Ronald Reagan was hugely popular. He was a great orator.
5. Why don't we have checks and balances so that the stealing doesn't happen. It seems like land deals back door is how so many of them become wealthy. What price are we the people paying for no checks and balances? We focus on foodstamp fraud. Piddly compared to the dollars stolen at the top. We are focussing on somebody who might be ripping off the system at 100 a month, while ignoring those stealing millions from the taxpayer. I don't get it.
6. If we could get out of this "democrat"/ "republican" labeling, maybe we could actually get something done again.
7. It takes money, but we are paying a very heavy price by placing money at the top of the list of what we value. We have moved away from our core values.
8. People don't get involved. We are trained that the only people with voices are lawyers.
FDR was truly the greatest President ever!

Romney was not my choice, but once he won the nomination - you bet I supported him. Heaven knows he would have been exponentially better for this country than the man currently in the White House.
Romney worked for a living, he didn't spend his adult years in the echo chambers of academia or as a "community organizer" sitting in a church listening to a race baiting bigot.

What kind of person laughs at the thought of a government taking by force what it's citizens have earned. You must love what's going on in Cyprus.

FDR was the right president for the times. This is why he was elected for four terms. Less people were around back then. Our issues parallel to then, but there are differences, and one big one is there are more of us.

Get ready.

All the folks who post on TOPIX- when there not enjoying all the benefits provided by FDR are gonna be attacking you for all FDR stuff.

When the benefits flow to them, and they enjoy a decent life thanks to guvment programs - that ain't socialism. When the benefits flow anywhere else - it's damn near comnism.

Like the shout goes - "keep yo guvment hands of my Social Security and Medicare.

At least it's entertaining.

FDR's policies extended the Depression, some economists say by as much as eight years. And you are right, some of those issues parallel today and Obama is trying some of those very same policies that were wrong then, and they are wrong now.

FDR was elected 4 times because the country was at war and could not afford an election , besides who in the hell would have wanted to take over that mess , back then .... but it had jack to do with him being right for the job .... politics at any level is just like prostitution , just a bunch of whores !!!!

I really AM laughing. Soooooo, you AREN'T going to have the hell taxed out of YOU? Seriously? Are you for real???? Honestly, YOU need some kind of reality check. The most worrisome thing about your post is that you are okay with the government taking money by force. For whatever reason, you uninformed, low information libs think you are going to get some kind of pass. Did you have to apply for that pass? lol Perhaps you think Obama has your name on a special list and you will be immune. At least I'm intelligent and informed enough to know what is already happening and what is to come. If you weren't so eaten up with bitterness and envy, I would feel sorry for you.

I have no idea why that posted twice. I guess my post was so reality based, it needed posting more than once.
