S.C. town stalked by serial killer

A terrified rural South Carolina community hunkered down over the Fourth of July after the sheriff said a serial killer was on the loose, and longtime residents were reminded of a murderer who terrorized the town in the 1960s.

The police got the killer today and killed him in a gunfight. The scumbag had just been released in April after serving almost 8 years in prison in North Carolina. He had a rap sheet 25 pages long and was a career criminal. Fortunately no officers were injured in the firefight. Good job, officers.

Yes an officer was shot..thats why the Police killed him as soon as he opened fire but that officer had minor injuries..thank GOD...good job guys.A big thanks to the person who called the Police when they saw a supicious truck in the neighbors driveway..!

I saw an earlier report that didn't mention that an officer was injured. However it went down, the injuries were only minor so that's a good thing.

That area is no where near where I live but still I think I looked around a lot more..He was killed in NC that is where he came from. I am glad he was caught. To tie an 85 YO woman and her 55 YO daughter together one had to see the other shot first... he was heartless.
