Thats because Media is a cheap *** company.
WCMH would do a whole hell alot better if there owners would spend some money and hire some reporters to report the news and stop all of the robotic ****.And all of video and tape.

That's the ugliest building I've ever seen. Looks like a bad web site. It ain't Times Square folks and one lit up building is really out of place in Columbus. And agreed, time to hire some reporters. What's with the crew of zombies goin on now?

More Die hard GOP presence. They should just put Kasich's picture in between Jerry and Andrea's since the Wolfe's want to be so close to Johnny's office.

Way to get beat by Business First, Dispatch, even though it's your sister company taking over the signage...

Doesn't really matter to me.... they lost their other HOTTIE to channel 10 anyway so I quit watching. I have always heard that channel 4 was cheap anyway :)

This failed only because media general is a cheap company with no plan. They simply drain the money out of their tv stations to support their dying newspapers and to pay massive debt payments. Very sad. I'm in the tv business so I know this is a fact.

Cheap in some ways, yes, but what Columbus station needs four meteorologists?

The studio Downtown was a dumb idea in the first place. It would have made far more sense to have one at Easton or along High Street in front of the campus.

Please no, not Andrea! She reminds me of a Morticia Addams bobblehead, with anorexia!

Actually, you're only partially correct. Media General may be a cheap company, but their two largest stations are WFLA-TV in Tampa and WCMH-TV in Columbus. They are both considered their flagship stations.
If WCMH wants my opinion on things, they need to bring back their news director from about the mid 1990's-Alision Ash was his wife. He had a great eye for eye candy-I can't watch that fat pig in the morning. She may be a nice girl, but that doesn't mean I want to see her on TV.

You think downtown is deserted now? Wait until a 50-foot Dom Tiberi appears on that screen. People will be fleeing like Japanese screaming "Godzilla!"

I thought Allison was married to Mike Bowersock 20 years ago. They both left for Detroit at the same time in the mid '90s.

The point is to be around people walking around during the news, it't it? What better places to find people actually walking around than Easton or Ohio State.

Besides, they wouldn't air Kasich's State of the State Speech, but dropped everything live for Tressel's news conference. That shows what they consider "news".

I don't think the fat black guy or the fat gay guy are technically meteorologists. Only Ben Gelber and Jym Ganahl are.(I like Big Bob Nunnally but I couldn't resist. I don't like the gay guy, though.)
I think you're right...here's Bob: "Bob, who is a member of the National Weather Association, received the certificate of broadcast meteorology from Mississippi State University, after extensive course work and a training workshop in Birmingham, Ala."

And Marshall McPeek: "His journalism degree is from Ohio University and he earned his broadcast meteorology certificate is from Mississippi State University. He holds the Seal of Approval and the Certified Broadcast Meteorologist designation from the American Meteorological Society. He also is a member of the National Weather Association."

I remember the name: Allison Ash was married to Tom Burke. Tom Burke was responsible for all the eye candy we had in the late 1980's through mid-1990's. They not only looked good, but they were good on TV. Remember Jill Miles? Deena Centofanti (she went to Detroit)? Monica Robbins? All Decent to good-looking ... And Doug and Mona were the best anchors Columbus ever had.
That was also a good era for Channel 6 (Carol Costello, Pam Brady, etc.)
Then NBC came around and started hiring ugly people. This trend has continued under Media General.
I'll admit, I had a thing for Monica Robbins. She's a blues singer on the side.
