I have lived with barking dogs in my neighborhood for years. It has, recently, gotten even worse. I have discussed this others from Concordia with most responding in agreement. If you are experiencing the same problem, I like to hear about it.

Absolutely, problem is increasing as i visit from time to time at mom and dad's. What happened to quiet evenings on the porch? One dog starts for no apparent reason, and from all opposite directions others contribute to unneccessary barking and annoying yepping, yepping, yepping!
Is there any thing we can do?

Anti-freeze tastes sweet to dogs.
They love the taste and drink until it's gone.
It takes their bark away.

Hunter I hope someone does this to your beloved pet and see how you feel jerk!

You can call law enforcement and take the owner to court *they can be made to pay for the court costs* If you can't do something legally remember it can cost you more if you are found to have killed the animal. It is animal cruelty and yes you can be held for it.

Yes,DunLeftTown, taking the owner to court for a dog barking at all hours of the night is what I feel should be an option. Is this an option? I am not sure the proper laws are in place, in Cnocordia, that allows residents to pursue legal action, for this particular annoyance.

When I am awaken at 2:00 AM, getting back to sleep is not possible. That costs me four hours of sleep. That is not acceptable for me, just because some unattended animal is allowed to bark incessantly.

That brings me to the reason for this post. I believe a law needs to be put in place that fines homeowners that have barking dogs.

You should be able to, if not they can make the dog owner move the dog or give it up.

You need to check your local nuicence *spelling?* laws and talk to your local law enforcement on what you can do, if they are jag offs and won't help then contact your city councilman. You are a tax payer.

Sorry it took awhile I have been busy and I don't get here as often as I did.

Hope you get something worked out and soon.

wonder why the dogs are barking, could it be that you or another cat owner is letting there cats out all night and that is what the dog is barking at.we have a leash law for dogs, cant let them run all over town but the cats go anywhere they want and there owners are not held to fine like dog owners. by the way cats really like anti-freeze too

There is a law in place for disturbing the peace, and dog barking is part of that law. You can call the police and let them know but considering most the time they are sitting at TA bs'ing with other cops you won't have it taken care of very quickly.

Good luck with it, I know there are still a lot of barking dogs in that town.

Btw there is a "leash law" on cats too, stupid i know but they have to have tags and things in order too. and there are a lot of them running loose around town.

Anti-freeze KILLS animals who drink it! How dare you post something that someone might take seriously. Your attempt at humor could result in the accidental death of an animal or a crying baby!

Control your dirty nasty dog, Keep it locked up and quiet and there won't be any problem.
