He represents reasonableness and thought as opposed to Donavan's "fix it at any cost" declarations. Schneiderman wants to work within the law and tested acceptable practice. Donavan wants to change the rules to meet the desires of his backers - whioch included those who do not support gays, abortions, and things not "permitted in the bible," a document which was fine for its time, and fine for those who believe in it, but not suited for the 21st century.

Bob Prigg, a retired civil engineer from Sloan, said he "flipped" when he read in the paper Monday that he and other Social Security recipients, for the second consecutive year, will not get a cost-of-living raise next year.

Congress is incompetent, so let’s vote members out

The Democratic Congress consists of a bunch of cowards. They left Washington without passing a budget for 2010-2011; without voting on the expiring tax cuts that affect all of us taxpayers; and leaving all Americans in the dark on their taxes.

What other place of employment would allow its employees to just leave and not complete their tasks without getting fired? Congress needs to be taken to task for this unconscionable action.

Just as a private employer would fire its employees for abandoning their work, we have the opportunity to fire Congress members on Nov. 2. Make sure we all vote and get rid of these incompetents.

What would those be? From the sounds of it his views are counter libertarian. What is his view on same sex unions? The war on drugs? Does he believe in a strong police response to a "crime wave" that, outside of the projections of those profiting from the prognosis, essentially doesn't exist at all?

Libertarians are supposed to be anti-authoritarian. A real libertarian doesn't draw lines between state authority, which includes police, prison, and legal transgressions as well as those supposedly committed by the IRS and state tax agency.
