Yes, by all means, keep dithering, Mr. President. The troops are needed to support THE OTHER TROOPS we have there now. The Karzai govt is another issue altogether, and you do a disservice to this nation, but especially said troops, when you try to link the two. No govt over there is going to take hold, much less survive, if enough security isn't provided. That security is not going to come from faux allies like those who constitute most of the western European NATO ones (the Brits are not to be considered part of that group, their sacrifices are well known, and should be acknowledged and honored).

Why not all 40,000? Obama's hand picked, on scene commander has asked for AT LEAST 40,000 more troops. That's a MINIMUM that he has asked for. Why not send all of them? This reeks of the usual political dithering and ineptitude that are hallmarks of this admin. These are indeed sad, tragic times for this nation...
