this is ridiculous! how can a person riding a bike that is NOT blind run into a PARKED vehicle? Sounds like this Paul guy is a money hungry sue-happy moron that should be going to the eye doctors to get his eyes checked.

How about the ones that use illegal drugs that sue just to get money for their drugs. So wrong !

I actually had this happen to me before.
Going downhill there was no traffic behind me so I let momentum grow and grow.
I noticed a truck coming from other way, put it's turn signal on. I couldn't use my brakes or I would have crashed out in middle of the street because it wasn't completely smooth and my bike needed tightened up too.
I had hoped he noticed me and would wait to turn.
It timed perfectly that as he turned I hit the back panel at a slight angle and got tossed into the back of the truck and bike went up and over the vehicle.
He stopped, I got out. He was scared that I was hurt but I was fine. The bike was scraped up more then me but still usable.
It can only be his fault because I was not going over speed limit and blatantly on side of the on coming lane with no traffic to hide me.
Regardless, that was over 20 years ago
