Wisconsin advocates for domestic violence victims decry Reader's Digest killing joke

MADISON - Wisconsin advocates for domestic violence victims are blasting a joke in last month's Reader's Digest magazine that makes light of a man who killed a woman with a golf club.

I agree this cartoon should never of been published. My ex is still sitting in prison fron 12 years ago when he attempted to murder me. My four children and I are still feeling the strain everyday of what he left in our shattered lives. At the time the local sherrif's department did not believe me and the abuse I was receiving at home, untill it was too late. This is not laughing matter for the victims who lived through the beatings, while no one else believed them.
