Mayor..Who would you vote for?

Christine is behind every tree AND every topix post!
The mayor and his friends hear an opinion that is critical of this administration and they are so limited in their thinking abilities that all they can do is focus on one person who they know is often a critic. Sounds like paranoia to me.
Thousands of people voted AGAINST the mayor, THOUSANDS. Close to half the voters!
So if we extrapolate that percentage to the Florissant residents who for whatever reasons chose not to vote and it means that many thousands of the citizens may not be big fans of Lowery.
But in the thinking of the Lowery group, out of that large number there can be no other critics here at topix other than Christine.
Let me repeat...

But I am critical often of this mayor because he makes a lot of mistakes. Far too many mistakes for the highest paid mayor in the state.
I do play golf and I do not think the city should own a golf course. Golf is my "bad habit" and others should not be paying for my vices.

And I am not sure what point you are making though. Were the votes "for Andrew" (and Christine)or were they "against the mayor"? Too much apathy and the mayor won. Shame on all of us if he wins again in 2011. But who is going to be able to beat him?

Should the city own swimming pools, tennis courts, basketball courts, workout rooms, gyms...and what about the civic centers, park pavillions, the lake at st ferdinand park, ball fields, soccer fields, senior citizen busses and programs, summer camp program?

You need to check your numbers - Bogeyman is right here are the official results from the Election Commission website. If these were only votes against Bob there are a lot of unhappy people in this city.

3359 - 43% Podleski
7 - Invalid write-ins

True, however not all are old enough or registered to vote, most muni elections only draw about 20% of voters. There are about 34,500 registered voters in the city. and these are the ones who determine who will be in charge. These numbers show many frequent and aware voters are not happy and this was before the Friends of Florissant website and the audit. Does not bode well for the future, he will be 72 at the time of the next election, time to hang it up and bring in new blood.

In many circles including Chamber, Kiwanis, Lions, Veterans, Rotary, Knights all of them think Andrew and Christine are a joke! Unless Andy has a message that Christine has typed out for him he has almost nothing intelligent to ever say. He has not sponsored any legislation or made any positive difference at all. Oh and I suppose the mayor is "beloved" by all of those groups. Like the veterans who he claims to be one of despite the fact he never served?

I watch the council meetings and Podleski asks legitimate questions. It is too bad the rest of the council are a bunch of cowards who have been beat into submission by Lowery. They just sits there and pretend to be representing the best interests of their constituents.
