Students hack into school system, change grades

Just spend that extra time & effort on your homework.

If you don't know how to hack, they'll bust you for sure when you try. Then you'll have a whole different kind of port connection and download problem in jail.

well isn't there a cretin kind of program you can download, or something you can do while your hacking a computer to make it nearly impossable for them to track down your computer??

2. sql injection? maybe if all the grading is done online and not stored in a program such as gradequick, which you couldnt inject
3. SQL injecting a site isnt hacking the "network". Thats hacking the website. The network servers could be totally separated from the webserver or grade server for that matter. In order to hack the network you would need to be on the LAN via wireless, ethernet, or vpn.

so what your saying is that people can't hack there school computer from thair own computer?? Or are you sayin that you have to literally be working on the school computer itself in order to hack it???? um..........i'm confused

this is pretty old hat,i knew a group of teenagers who ran a biz of hacking,they would change utilty payments,moter vehicle records,a couple were busted in va.beach for playing with gov't programs both were sentenced to work for the govt.the lesser gifted were banned from owning or touching a pc connected to internet,the last i heard of the two in govt is that they completed thier sentence and continue to work for uncle,they never talk about work or what they do,i guess they now hack us for 'them'

no not necessarily. It is all dependant on your schools network topography, including vpns, wireless, etc. But essentially the answer is yes, it is possible you would be able to hack it from home.(just not the way the previous user stated)

Hacking involves gaining access to blocked content. Say the grades are buried on a computer and that computer is networked with other computers and things like printers, faxes and the like. 90% of hacking is simply using social engineering to physically see someones password. As in: Someone types in their password and you see what keys they press. Someone writes their passwords down and you find where they hide it. That's it really. Other ways include key loggers and a lot require either years of coding knowledge or a years worth of knowledge and PHYSICAL ACCESS MEANING YOU COULD REACH OUT AND TOUCH IT. Which you have demonstrated is beyond your feeble attention span anyway. Anyway, if you have physical access and a few hours time here the limit of my admittedly sparse knowledge: Open Run. Type CMD or command. Type into the console: net user. This will display a list of users. Find the one with administrator access or just go through the list, it shouldn't be that large. Type:"(User name here)*" Exactly like that without the quotation marks. it will ask you to set a password. Just press enter twice. It should say Command completed successfully, or something along those lines. Then go to the login screen and you can just sail right on through without a password. Then you can find the grades and changes them IF AND ONLY IF THEY ARE STORED IN A DOCUMENT THAT YOU CAN ACCESS! If they are on a server like edline.com or some other third party then forget it. Entire different story. So that's it. Sorry to disappoint you fags but nothing in life comes easy. Other, smarter people who's balls have, unlike yours ,dropped will vouch for me.
