The fact that they don't want a bunch people walking through any time they wish not any type of evidence that something is wrong. They have work to get done and don't have time to watch and worry over strange people parading through. What if one of these "rescue people" slipped and feel or got bite? Who foots the bill on that? Did you ever think it might be a safety measure? Get your facts before you start your witch hunt.

Yeah, because previous experience with the mouth breathers at the TC Animal Shelter shows what sympathetic and concerned individuals they are.

There would not be STRANGE people wandering through or "parading" through as you put it. These people are the same people who are giving their own time and money to rescue the animals taken to the shelter. They are taking the animals out of the shelter and finding homes for them or fostering them themselves. They are doing the job the shelter SHOULD be doing. Rescuing these pets from death. And they don't charge the county one thin dime. It seems like we would WANT them working with our shelter, not hindering them at every step.

So go down there and get the 15 dogs on display, find them homes, then go back and get the next 15. Problem solved

And there you have it! An attitude like is the very reason nobody wants you around. When you don't get your way, you go off the deep end and resort to violent outbursts using profanity. Get yourself an education, learn how to speak and converse with other people. As long as you act and speak in a ghetto manner that's the way people will see you and treat you.

..Really? Do you realize how long it takes to find homes for 15 dogs? And in the meantime the animals in the old building are bring neglected and killed because they aren't allowed there anymore. There's no defending our shelter or the people in charge, so just stop trying to be a know it all.

If it takes a long time to find homes for the dogs then what are they supposed to do with the ones that keep coming in? If they stopped putting them down there would more than the shelter could hold or feed. Sometimes hard decisions have to be made. You can't save all of them.

All this rhetoric BS on here about the animal shelter and how it's operated but not one bit of evidence of any wrong doing. It's been investigated by the state and they found nothing wrong. You people running around like Chicken Little hoping someone will listen but the real fact is people are just plain tired of hearing it. The shelter is running just fine, Leave it alone.

I do not know about this shelter or the situation or the person who posted this thread.
But I do know there are indeed people and/or organizations that do go to shelters specifically to see the dogs & possible rescue the ones who are on the list to be euthanized.
Not only would it be unethical to refuse to allow "Anyone" to see those animals most in dire need but it is most likely u lawful.
Not too many judges want to be associated with the fact they don't uphold the law for the person to see those dogs and then more dogs get put down. Any judge who would do that would be known as a sog "hater" and a dog. "Killer".

Also you sure make it sound like you yourself don't care one way or another how many get put down. No one should have that attitude who works for a shelter of any kind. At no time.

Denying ANY person the option of preventing a needless death to any animal is a CRIME. and should be punished by law. You guys should not want negative news about the place. You'd be much better off if the citizens s as you as benefitting a dogs life rather than IMPEDING it as you seem to be doing if that posters info is correct.
If we're me, I'd go file a complaint, and then I'd sue you for discriminating against ME and against the dogs best interest. Your lucky it isn't me. I have no problem going to court for ever how long an issue that matters to me takes. And the funds to do it too. Sure hope you people have that luxury.

i think the local and state news needs to be envolved...just anything to get that shelter shut down and have the animal abuse there be stopped. somone needs to have something done now before they end up having someone go off and hurt somebody there for killing their precious pet...its gonna happen you just wait and see.

News media has been involved, reported allegations and hearsay. No proof of any wrong doing. Same bunch of crybabies at it again. Running around like Gomer Pyle hollering "Citizens Arrest" They have no proof of any abuse or wrong doing but still whining because they can't get their way.

Please join us in Frankfort on February 14th to lobby for stiffer animal cruelty laws. Kentucky is the worst state in the country for animal cruelty laws and it is time to change that. It needs to be a FELONY! US Human Society will be in Frankfort on February 14th and so will several people from Campbellsville. Please join us!
