Apparently the "group" supporting the release of the manatees is not aware that the manatees have resided at the park for many years, some for over 20 years. It is not a matter of keeping recently rehabilitaed manatees in captivity; it is a matter of continuing to protect manatees to whom a committment was made to protect them. Release recently rehabbed manatees, IF POSSIBLE.NOT this group.

There are extremists that would even want my cats released. that would be horrifying!Animals living in capitivity have their needs met in certain situations |
