ND at least knows how to manage a budget and stay in the black. To be fair, energy taxes on abundant coal and oil help considerably. Minnesota can keep taxing for light rail and bike trails, paving roads that no one drives on, and then wonder why the businesses are crossing the border to ND and SD.

Soom those businesses will say we cant get there because your roads are dirt and falling apart and education is terrible and the infrastructure is collapseing...Your budget is in the black but so will be your state when your infrastructure falls apart. It take money to make money.

This is why States rights are great... we will now be able to see if this thrives or fails and other states can base decisions off of it for their own budgets.

Minnesota has MUCH HIGHER TAXES than the Dakotas. Would you care to explain why their roads are in so much better shape than ours?

States like North and South Dakota can propose measures like this due to the fact that they have more people that contribute, as opposed to States like Minnesota, who have more people who take from the system. It is simple economics. Diversity failed!!!

they're getting more back from the federal gov't than they pay in. We have to pick up thier tab for them. that would be a welfare state.

No. We pay more in than we get back. We are funding the welfare states like North Dakota.

The ratio of people on welfare is higher in Minnesota than that of North Dakota.
We are the ones with a 5 billion dollar deficit. We are the major destination for welfare seekers from not only the USA but the world.

You're not very bright, are you? The private sector will manage just fine. Now, move out of your mom & dad's basement, and get a job. It's time to grow up.
