Get behind Kristin Hedger now for the Senate. She needs your help and she's awesome.

You might help her more redtiger if you weren't identified as being from NC unless that is where you want her to run.

Kristin knows her home state. She has helped expand her family's business in Western ND, helped create more jobs in the state and values the education of our students. As a young North Dakota, she understands what OUR GENERATION is going to have to endure in light of our current situation. She understands, she has genuine interest in ND and the people here. It would be a great opportunity for Democrats and North Dakota if she runs for Senate.

Kristin Hedger is an empty suit. She does not understand anything about "our generation" because she's been too busy trying to weasel her way into political office for the past ten years. People who have actually worked with her will tell you that she's all talk.

I have worked with her and still do. She certainly does "talk" but she follows it up with "action" unlike so many others. She has created an Alliance which provides knowledge, training and networking opportunities to business owners and has increased ND's business visibility on the national level. She has been behind several initiatives statewide including a national internship program hosted by the Alliance working with a global company who has provided ND college students amazing internship opportunities. Besides that she has taken her family's business to the next level; she has helped create more jobs in the State by opening more KMM locations and so much more. That's not talk-its action!

Democratic-NPL candidate Kristen Hedger is making a amazing try, but I'm not finding her complaints about North Dakota's incumbent secretary of state, Al Jaeger, persuasive. Case in point: Her claim that Jaeger is lax in having "outsourced the counting of your vote to an out-of-state corporation." It's a stretch to try to make that a campaign issue, in my view. Jaeger and his office chose an Optical Scan system, which happens to be made by Election Systems & Software of Omaha, Neb. That was smart... Clearly, the systems are popular because they are accurate, are easy-to-use and -- most important, in my view -- provide a paper trail...[O]wning the software would be no guarantee against fraud. Just the opposite, arguably: The paper trail, not the software's ownership status or physical location of the programming facility, is the best insurance policy for keeping elections clean and on the level.
The fact of the matter is that Al Jaeger has done a good job administrating the law in that office. As long as Jaeger keeps that up there's no place for a challenger to gain traction. It's not like the Secretary of State's job is controversial provided he does his job right. It looks like Hedger's efforts to create a controversy where none exists is not going to gain any traction whatsoever.
