Hello...I'm Lila Peterson I found good homes for 47 of my Chihuahuas. I have 27 left. The good news about this article is that it brought wonderful people to my home. I spent countless hours with my dogs and I miss them. It's conforting to know that people do care. You know, when I put an ad in the Tribune about puppies raised with children,I'm not kidding. I had 7 children. My kids play with them and so do I. Chihuahuas need honey when it comes down to it, so they don't have low blood sugar seizures. I recommend that toy breeds have honey once a week. Some people think it's the money and I say, you got to be kidding! If I had that kind of money, I would have had that addition built onto my house that I want for my chihuahuas. I give away more puppies per year than I sell. I do it for the smiles. The money I do get goes back into the dogs for vaccines,honey,dog food,ect. I'm a person that believes that hard work makes a person's dreams come true. I only watch 1 hour of tv a week. I take good care of my dogs and I'm getting slandered for it. Please post my comment. All you ever did was give 75 dogs or however many horrible lives... you ran a puppy mill. I will never support you because you are not a true professional breeder or a dog lover.

My brothers ex fiancee and I responded to an ad in the Bismarck Tribune in late 2002 regarding Chihuahuas for sale. We went to the place, which was pretty much unkempt, the yard was overrun with dogs and children. Kennels all over the place, separate ones for the different breeds of dogs I imagine. When we went inside to see the dogs, again it was dirty and little kids being loud all over the place. My brothers ex fiancee got her long haired chihuahua, when this little girl-probably about 2 or 3 years old-walks in the kitchen holding a gorgeous, tiny, brown and white short haired chihuahua...by the neck!!! Nobody said anything, and here I am, freaking out inside for the poor dog...so I ended up getting the chihuahua out of pity and in hopes I was saving her life, instead of being this childs ragdoll. I still have her, but she has SO MANY health problems.... I paid $350 for her and the long haired I think was $300. I didn't like the place for many reasons, I referred to it as a puppy mill as soon as i pulled up. I bet she made a KILLING, but it's sad she had to earn it like this.

All I'm saying is I totally had a bad vibe at this place and I honestly felt like we rescued the dogs we purchased from her. I feel like there was (at least) neglect and the living conditions (for the dogs AND the family for that matter) left a lot to be desired.

I feel sorry for you. Get your facts straight. In 2002 I had 10 dogs and 6 kids. Our relatives were probably here. Big deal! My husband,Duane,has a landscaping business. If your married you know you cannot make a man do what he doesn't want to do. I have the front half of the yard in flowerbeds and the Bismarck Tribune dropped in last year and took pics of it. Insult me all you want but not my children. Got it? Get it? Good! I don't like people who don't like children.

By the way long long gone- I was pregnant and I couldn't mow the yard. My husband doesn't have the time and I had restrictions due to pregnancy! I had 7 children. So rewind your little mind to the facts before typing them. I hope you treat those chihuahuas better than humans. Because by your words alone,you don't like kids. If you keep up that attitude you will end up alone.

Long gone day you are so right to say it was a puppy mill because that is what it was. Nice to see someone post a message that was there and saw how bad it was. The problem is people like lila think they didn't do anything wrong and will never own up to the fact that they are VERY bad pet owners. Some people like to play victim but to anyone who is a TRUE animal lover they know that the dogs are the victims

It would be nice to have Lila admit that what she was doing was wrong. You do not keep that many dogs in a basement room and in those conditions and think all is well. She was using the policy of "has uterus, must breed." Her dogs were not breeding quality (yes, I have seen many of them). She was doing a disservice to the breed. Even so the conditions of the home were disgusting. Any normal person would know that this is not what a pet deserves. I hope Lila gets all the courts will allow. I hope this encourages people to only buy from reputable breeders and not support puppy mills. Lila Peterson is a monster and I wish the Bismarck court system luck in taking her down!

Shelly your a liar! My chihuahua room was clean. Deputies will testify to that! My dogs were in good shape. Did any of them have to be put down? No. Did any of them have parvo? No. Your a clueless human.

Its funny how you assume people who care about animals and are wonderful pet owners are a "disservice to humans" If any one is its you. You breed dogs that are so far from standard that its ridiculous and you keep them in horrible conditions. Get a clue about being a dog breeder and a human. People moan and groan about you because we are sick of people like you and your puppy mills. People like you need to be stopped and these message boards are great so if any one googles your name this and may more will pop up and people can read what kind of person you are and that you ran a puppy mill.

For anyone who is passionate about stopping mass breeding facilites and wants the best for all animals, our "moaning and groaning", as you call it, gets the word out. If that is what it takes to take people like you down, I will spend the rest of my life doing so. We live our lives our on seperate moral plains.(Thank God) I only have as many children and pets that I can care for and give all the can provide to them. I really do not care if you are offended. Your very existence offends pet lovers everywhere.

Sorry, but many would agree that 24 adults is about 20 too many. It is "funny" to me that you think you are in the right. I am speaking for a HUGE number of people. You are ridiculous. It is obvious you either just don't know any better or your Chi's became victims of your own self indulgence. Hopefully the courts will teach you a lesson. If you don't want to hear what pet lovers have to say, then stop posting. We will continue to post as long as necessary to make sure the situation doesn't get swayed in your favor.
