I have been to the New Rockford plant. What a state of the art facility it is! Isn't it great that they are working so closely with the the Department of Agriculture and its inspectors, in regards to beef production and public health and safety? Makes us all feel more safe and secure to see that even an incident of this low risk is addressed quickly and completely by NABC and the public is given the information. For anyone who hasn't tried bison/buffalo meat, it is far superior to beef in taste and nutrion and never a recored case of Mad Cow in a buffalo/bison herd!

Please tell me that whole cow heads are used for making fertilizer or animal feeds and not anything that I might eat.

So how are bison involved? The article says "beef and "cattle", the title "bison". Get it straight

Sorry.... is a horrible way to die. I've had a minor stroke and I know how goofy I come off sometimes ... but Creutzfeldt-Jakob must be awful. Apparently, what it does to mind and body is unbearable for close family to witness.

The incubation period lasts ... well, they don't quite know how long prions can remain dormant in the brain.

When Mad Cow got into the British beef supply, there was all hell to pay. We ought to be taking this seriously.
