This little piece of shit will probably be the next asst. chief due to the selection process used. the current policy states that the assistant chief will be the person who lips are planted the tightest on the current chiefs ass.

Oh good god! I hope not. He is a good kid. Smart, with a bright future. But FUTURE is the key word. He is still a baby. SO NOT READY to be the assist chief. Dickey i hope your smarter than this!
Not really. This is a pattern with Dickey to put young inexperienced people in positions of responsibility just so they will blindly follow him. He took a kid that was rookie fireman of the year and made him a captain. He was a good kid like Colwell also. He was a very good fireman with proper guidance, but when he almost got himself and his crew killed it was a wakeup call for him. Thank God he learned from that mistake and sought guidance from some of the others. Colwell's problem is he thinks he knows it all. He's a smart, good kid, but his ego will get him and those below him in serious trouble some day. To promote young people like these will ruin them in the long run. But, then again, Dickey never was a very good leader.

I don't know this Colwell kid, but I do know if he is just a kid, he has not have the experience to lead others safely. As for Dickey, where is he? I see his wife running more calls than him. Maybe she's the new chief.

For someone who keeps claiming to NOT be on the fire department, you sure seem to know an awful lot about it. Like on some of your other posts where said john q was sitting in a silver truck laughing while the firemen were trying to do something and talking about capt chuck trying to be the chief. If you're not a member of the fire department, don't you have something better to do. Also, your name implies you probably are not a man so that adds an interesting twist to your involvement with the fire department

Seriously I'm not on the department. The name refers to my first post to john q when I called for him to first show the video. I read and keep up with the department, the comment about capt chuck was in the dj if I remember correctly and on this very site in an old thread. Now back to the point let's see the video.

Terrible. The dicky boy cant get any of his supporters to respond to emergencies. Its so bad that a court agreed and awarded the home owner $40,000. When will those making decisions open their eyes before someone dies? Just remember people, if the fire dept fails, you can sue them and each alderman, mayor, association board member and each fire district board member directly.

The fire chief can be held responsible along with all the governing bodies leadership. In translation to you dumb a$$es, dicket, mayberry and each city alderman, the rural board members, the fire protection district board members. Under the state laws, of they fail to respond, each listed above are held responsible for the office they serve, and personally. That means their houses, cats, savings, and what the court can find with value. Oh, each can go to prison.

Carl. you are absolutely correct. But, nobody cares as long as their friends, relatives and lovers get to wear red and white helmets and others get to play fireman when there is nothing else to do. Nobody cares only one guy went to Holiday Shores yesterday for an unconscious person and today they are taking the tanker out of town selling city water residents have to pay for leaving the city without a tanker for a fire.

You are a moron! Residents paying for water, really? "Leaving the CITY without a tanker for a fire." Let's think about this for a second numbnuts........I do believe that there are these objects called fire hydrants scattered throughout the city. What typically happens (for a fire within city limits) is, a Pumper will drop a supply line from the hydrant to the scene where it is then connected to the truck. Once all hoses are connected, the water then travels through the hose from the hydrant to the pumper, which in turn supplies water to the attack line that the firemen hold. Thus creating NO NEED for a tanker within the city limits, brainiac...

As usual divert from the real issue to a much lesser point. At least you seem to how to get water from the hydrant to the fire which is more than Goad could in the original subject of this thread. Also please tell us Mr. Wizard how you can do all that with 1 guy. BTW the people I know there pay a water bill each month so before you start calling people names to shift attention from the incompetence you might want to do a little research. It only makes you sound like a child shifting blame to someone else.

He probably is a child. My thoughts are if a tanker isn't needed for city fires why did they have fill in tankers come when theirs was broke down from the brakes being burned up. Also Im more interested in the 1 person going on a life threatening call at Holiday Shores.

When the tanker leaves to fill a pool, they take city water. The person in turn pays them for such water. Then, oh.......wait for it.......the dept pays for the water used! Holy shit that's hard to figure out.

hmmmm, let's think about this here, dummy. The dept also covers the rural area, you know, where there is no hydrants.

I see by your screen name you are speaking on behalf of the department. You are contradicting yourself. First you say you don't need a tanker in town, so it's ok to take it out of service to fill swimming pools. Then you say a tanker is needed on rural fires....but it's still out of service filling swimming pools. Also, I doubt the department pays the city for the water they sell, or they wouldn't make much profit. Especially since I bet that truck doesn't get more than about 4 miles to the gallon of $3.75 diesel fuel.
