Thought about It

The post states, in so many words. that instead of anyone complaining, they should look within themselves on how they can help change the next outcome (or game). It has absolutely nothing to do with me looking within yourself to change to make myself better. This post wasn't about my self improvement--it was about the improvement of the team. This said, the answer to think about it is simple. Since I refuse to pray for victory in sports, there is nothing I can do especially, if we are not allowed to make suggestions for improvements. Bishop will stay status quo another year and go 0-10.

Seems to me, that is what people were doing -- giving their suggestions as to how to change the outcome and win a few games. People in Bishop should ask themselves why it is the girls, as they should from a large AA school, win more than their share of district titles and at least come in 3rd and make the playoffs in just about all their sports. The boys, on the other hand, except for baseball, rarely win district or even make the playoffs in their sports. Could it be the coaching? IMO, it is hard to believe, as in some cases, where brothers and sisters come from the same parents, only the girls are decent athletes who win their share of games.
Maybe its cause they play a weak district for girl sports. Explains why they don't go far in playoffs either

They play the same towns the boys do, and in a lot of cases against the sisters of the boys playing the Bishop boys. Why should their district be any weaker every year? I am not trying to say the Bishop girls are doing something special. I am just saying when you have larger enrollments than your opponents, you should be able to come in at least 3rd just about every year and make the playoffs. At least, you should not be continously embarassed by the smaller schools such as Riviera and Ben Bolt. As Joe Sendejar, coach of Tuloso Midway said last week in the Caller after his small Class AAAA team lost to Class AAA team Mathis. "This just shouldn't happen" He didn't try to make excuses as we have been accustomed to in Bishop. He knew a larger school ought to beat a smaller school most the time.
